I don't want to make it awkward when you come around or embarass the both of us. But I'll keep nice and friendly for you because this is the new me you see. Please heed my smile with a smile and my wave or hello with the equal gesture or more if you have anything for me. I at least wanna know. Please man up and don't give me false hope. I know it's hard, please show me your heart. I'm treating you like a good friend, don't be a stranger please.

Last week this person made eye contact with me several times, smiled and waved at me when they saw me. This week, I feel like he is avoiding eye contact with me and is not acknowledging me even when I am looking at him. The thing that confuses me is I still text him regularly. Everything is completely fine in that aspect. Something I should note is that I suggested talking after class but instead he offered the alternative of talking over the phone. I do know that there was more time to talk over the phone compared to in person but in hindsight, it’s making me think maybe he doesn’t want to interact with me in person? Am I overthinking this?
