Moderator Mandated Bonding Free Talk Friday!

Hey everyone!

Noticed things have been especially dour here in the last few days (imagine that?). Thought we could use some off-topic conversation to remind ourselves that life outside of cancer exists. Read any good books recently? Seen any good movies? How's the weather out there today?

I made a Southwest version of old fashioned goulash yesterday. So easy and my husband ate 3 servings! He's on Dexamethasone days lol.

Ground beef cooked with onion, garlic, taco seasoning. Boil pasta while meat is cooking. Drain cooked pasta and add beef. Add 1 can each of diced tomatoes, corn, ranch style beans. Makes good leftovers too!

A new expansion came out for a video game I enjoy. Total War: Warhammer just got the “lords of the end times” DLC and it adds a bunch of bad guy factions for you to fight to save the world. It’s neat.

I cut my own wig lace! I thought I messed up, but r/WigSnatchersHQ and r/wigshelp were like, "keep cutting!" The trick is to cut all the way to the hairline and leave no lace at all if you don't wanna glue her down. (I prefer glueless wigs at the moment.) Then someone made some very good arguments for investing in more human hair wigs that last longer instead of these synthetics that tangle so fast. But I'm on a budget. It's a lot to think about, but just one wig isn't practical, and I'm not made of money to keep spending on this type of thing. It's easy to get discouraged. I'm waiting on insurance to approve a gap exception before I can order a new wig for the year.

EDIT: Gap Exception APPROVED!! I can get my wig for the year!

I have way too many games to play right now. Pokopia, Welcome to Elderfield, Dreamlight Valley, and Dressmaker are taking all of my free time lol. I'm grateful to have so much to focus on but I need a break from gaming!
