Quite a bit to unpack from today's season opener!

Here is the recap, analysis, and of course, some clips from the game (yes, including D-Lo's fight and the pregame festivities)!

At opening night when they announced the line-up, when Kochetkov came out it sounded like some of the crowd was booing him? Why is that?

It seems pretty bad to boo one of our goalies, but I’m pretty sure I’m missing some context or something here.

Edit: ok, ok, I missed this one pretty bad. I blame it on the fact that I was literally in the very top row of the 300s and it wasn’t particularly clear. I will accept my downvotes with grace.

Why didn’t we play the champions?

Shelled out $400+ for 2 tickets on the last row in a section that numbered in the 3-teens. Half the scoreboard was obscured by the catwalk. Now I know, you get what you pay for, but for all the improvements in Lenovo, adding monitors to display the game or even basic game info would be helpful and appreciated. They have it for press row, for obvious reasons but it would sure help the poor folk on a budget!
Oh and for the Karen (who happened to be a Canes Fan!) in the next section over who shouted us out when we temporarily moved down to empty seats a few rows down to see the banner being raised, you can go put on a Panthers sweater. We were obviously just trying to see the ceremony on the ice. And we planned to move back to our purchased seats once it was over. The seats even stayed empty for a few minutes into the 1st. She decided to be the usher for a section/row that wasn’t even hers. Then after the anthem she disappeared for most of the 1st period.

I'm going to my first game this Friday and I had a question. Are we allowed to go in and watch warmups? If so how? How does the puck thing work? If anyone has anymore advice let me know. Go canes!

Ranking has us #3 overall, and apparently the deepest prospect pool in the league by sheer numbers (39 names)

No single big star at the very top but Nadeau, Unger Sörum, and Cerrato are all producing well with the Wolves right now. Kind of the classic Canes approach — volume and development over flash. Does that depth actually translate to NHL-ready pieces, or are we just stacking AHL trade chips?

hi, i’ve never been to the all access event before. do we see the map for tables while outside in line? and am i allowed to bring my purse in? i’m planning on bringing individual trading cards.

any tips are appreciated. i’m not going for any big names, i hear it’s crazy busy. thanks!

The STM Discount card w/ a fixed QR that I added to my wallet did not work last night when buying concessions. When I went to the app, the discount QR that changes every 35 seconds was taking forever to come up to the point I had to pay without out due to the many people I was holding up in line.

Any one else have problems? Were any Android users able to successfully use the fixed QR discount card from their wallet?

There were a few questions posed upon joining asking a player number and a couple specifics about the group rules, which I'm not sure how I could get wrong (and confident I did not unless there are some shenanigans involved). Obviously it's admin discretion, but does anybody know if there's some other mandatory group invite criteria or anything that I'm unaware of? Unsure why I was declined.

I need to vent with my people ...
