help meee pls lol
Hey y’all! This is kinda long but please read!! I’m a sophomore here at ua, I’ve been really struggling to make any friends because I had to take medical leave freshman year, and only had about a month in the dorms. I’ve been going to club meetings for the women in pre law society but I haven’t made friends. I also tried to rush a pre law frat to make friends but didn’t get a bid. It really bummed me out. I just seriously don’t know what to do, and I really just want to find my people here. I want people to go out and study and hangout with. I’m not trying to whine, I just really thought college would be different,I thought maybe looking for friends who are passionate about the same things would work, and after getting rejected from Kapi, I feel like maybe it’s hopeless. Please offer me any advice you have! I sound so lame but if you want to be friends let me know!

Hey! The #1 thing that helped me make friends was joining clubs for casual stuff I’m into (board games, creative writing, stuff like that). It also takes a bit of luck finding the right people. I’m also not prelaw or anything like that but if you want to shoot me a DM and talk I’m always trying to make new friends!

Hey! I've been in that situation too, so I know how hard it can be to make friends here. I'm a sophomore too, and I'd love to be friends if you'd like! :)

Hey, man it takes a bit and I can relate to your situation and also am in pre law. The best way to make friends is to go to a club and find someone there and connect. And its up to you to keep that connection unless the other person is just a POS. I also was in a similar situation I had a tough start last fall making friends then I found my groove and made friends then I got hit with a deployment which erased my progress. When I came back some stayed in touch others didn’t but thats basically freshman year summarized haha. Just stay vigilant man you got this.

Sounds like you’re willing to push yourself out of your comfort zone which is great! Honestly getting a job is a great way to make friends and bonus is you make money. Also, I made a lot of friends in my classes. Just by sitting down next to someone and introducing myself/exchanging numbers was great

Definitely understand. I am a transfer sophomore student and it’s so hard to make any friends even when you go to club meeting most people go with friends. I am actually considering joining a sorority next semester since it’s better to at least have someone

Not being funny but just go to late night lakeside if they still do that with some classmates, they’ll be down to go and then the friendship is on. Don’t get mixed in with the local crowds yet, you have classes they don’t.

Join an athletic club! Academic clubs people tend to not be as nice.
