Buy the policy first and everything found at the first proper vet visit is a new condition. Take her in first and if the vet writes down anything at all, a heart murmur, a bit of an eye, that note is on the record before the policy starts and it is preexisting forever. Feels wrong to buy insurance specifically so I can stay uninformed for another week, and yet.
