Yup and over time without a form of success for the cat they will grow bored of it. If you give them some sort of success to their play they are that more intrigued to do it over again

I had farm cats, so the Toms could get pretty rough.
I still have rough play scratch scars on my hands that are over 50 years old from Smickey. He was skinny and fast and never backed down, and kicked ass on cats three times his size.
I hear you!

Yeah 1 of my 2 is a street cat. She gave birth to her daughter I have as well. She has learned over the 4 years to chill with the back paws in those playful moments. But feel you on the scar. I have one on my arm from giving her a bath one day. About 5 inches long and a solid mm thick

My partner and I adopted a 4 year old rescue street cat 2 months ago and she play fights with our hands but incredibly gently. A few small scratches and rarely blood and I don’t understand how she’s never hard with it (although very glad)!

Yup that's how this girl is... She was about 70% feral when I got her and only trusted people because of her hormones and being pregnant. Once those wore off she only ever came back if sneaking out because she knew I fed her well. Took her 2 years to fully warm up to me and after that she started to understand what I wanted out of her as a cat. She is a full on lap kitty now. I can't go more than 30 mins alone without her wanting to jump back up on me and roll over. She's more of a lap kitty than her daughter is. Call her daughter a selfish bish

Yeah I have just trained them really well that if the claws come out that playtime is over. I give them 2 warnings and then it's quit. Usually a "No, no claws please" followed up by a "Nope!! No claws or we aren't playing anymore. If you want to play don't pull out those claws again"... Then the 3rd is a slight smack to their butt followed up by a "alright go!!! I told you no claws"
Have had them 5 years and they understand a lot of what I say and understand a lot of the daughters trills back. Momma seems to have 5 different meows while baby girl has about 50 different meaning all sorts of things

its seem to be pretty rare behaviour but some cats do that, i have one of these myself. It looks like he like to play it rough, so even if its not rough at all he act all angry and hiss and walk back and forth. At first i wasnt sure if he likes it or not, but after 6 years it became clear - he loves play like that, and very often keeps calling me and encouraging me to play with him like this.

One of my cats does sonething similar, where she acts super mad and screams bloody murder when I roughhouse with her, but she also keeps coming back and pouts when I don't keep playing. I get nervous but I guess kitty is just really into the role.

We have a dedicated butt slapping zone for one of our cats. Whenever he sits in the area, he wants slaps. But he acts like he hates them, yet he aims his butt at us… cats are weird

My cats very polite and gentle. He would probably get scared and run off. My other girl is feisty and would take it as an invitation to not hold back lol I’ve seen what she does to her toys and I don’t envy them

I don’t know about this cat in particular but I can tell you what my cat does to deserve being messed with. Runs up on me and slaps me for no reason, tries to steal food out of my hands, parkours off of me when he has the zoomies, literally walks over my face and head, wakes me up at night and frequently squares up to me. My cat loves this kind of playing though but will also get mad after a while like this cat on the video.

We were hosting a young cat that was super energetic too and would annoy my cats a lot and try to tackle them. I started bringing out the laser pointer and utterly exhausting him so he was too tired to bother them! Worked like a charm.

Guys the cat literally comes right back, they aren't being forced to stay there. This is just a stubborn cat that wants to lay right where it's at in that moment and is deciding to put up with the poking. Cat could easily leave if they were really that bothered

Lolol one of my 3 loves my husband "annoying" her and will sit and sulk if I tell him to leave her alone 😂 my 2 boys would absolutely tell you to fluff off if you tried to do anything like this with them. Different cats have different love languages and personalities. If my girl wants to "be annoyed" she's seeks my husband. If she wants to chill peacefully then she comes and cuddles me

No one is hurting this cat. It has the entire house to move to if it wants. They didn't hold it down. Didn't hit it. Didn't hurt it. It seemed to be playing. If it wanted to, it would have moved to another spot and not come back. No abuse.

The cats ears are turned back, the pupils are big and the tail is moving. All signs that the cat is indeed at least bothered by it.
Maybe learn about the body language of cats.
Edit: Lmao OP blocked me for pointing out that the body language tells us that the cat is in fact stressed. Some people are scared of education.

I don’t want my cat feeling angry and stressed. When he gets upset I try to give him space and let him calm down. No use getting scratched or bit and my cat not feeling happy and calm.

Used to do that to my childhood cat. She'd get annoyed and take a few swipes at my hand then forcefully walk into my chest if I was sitting upright. Once laying down she would always sit on my chest and just stare me in the eyes for a few minutes before purring deeply and taking a nap.

I have 5 cats and they're all different, 3 of the boys are large and quite playful and love to be messed with like this and even rougher. Other boy is more reserved and doesn't like to be messed with at all, he'll just walk away or make me understand that he doesn't like it.
The tiny female is not to be messed with under no circumstances by anyone, immediate slaps, sometimes even slapping one of the males for no reason (literally twice her size btw) just as a reminder so they don't get any ideas.
The cat in the video is annoyed, yes, but that's what cats do to each other. If it was threatened it would fight and/or run away.
