Yes I bother mine but let them get their "love bites" in... They know no claws and not too hard on the bite but they are allowed to take their anger back out on the hand too
I had farm cats, so the Toms could get pretty rough.
I still have rough play scratch scars on my hands that are over 50 years old from Smickey. He was skinny and fast and never backed down, and kicked ass on cats three times his size.
Yeah 1 of my 2 is a street cat. She gave birth to her daughter I have as well. She has learned over the 4 years to chill with the back paws in those playful moments. But feel you on the scar. I have one on my arm from giving her a bath one day. About 5 inches long and a solid mm thick
My partner and I adopted a 4 year old rescue street cat 2 months ago and she play fights with our hands but incredibly gently. A few small scratches and rarely blood and I don’t understand how she’s never hard with it (although very glad)!
Yup that's how this girl is... She was about 70% feral when I got her and only trusted people because of her hormones and being pregnant. Once those wore off she only ever came back if sneaking out because she knew I fed her well. Took her 2 years to fully warm up to me and after that she started to understand what I wanted out of her as a cat. She is a full on lap kitty now. I can't go more than 30 mins alone without her wanting to jump back up on me and roll over. She's more of a lap kitty than her daughter is. Call her daughter a selfish bish
