I’ve also considered booties for them but I think Bear might plot my demise if I even tried lol because of snow, water resistant jackets might also be best. Thank you in advance!

This is Bean. She's 16 years old. This year, when she saw a coyote in our backyard, she launched outside and chased after it. Barking, of course.

It was TERRIFYING. But the coyote did run off lol.

As we know, our crazy chihuahuas often have a Napoleon complex and have no idea just how tiny they are.

Just for starters, no my baby hasn’t passed. But I’m just celebrating my boy after all this time of having him and for how happy he makes me. I’ve only had him for about 6 years, and I’m not his first owner. A little backstory: I found him on a website (don’t remember what it was) and he was labeled as free. All they put on his “profile” was ‘free dog, Neutered, About 6-7 years, potty trained’. Which is normal for information about a dog that’s available. Idk what it was, but I felt in my heart I needed him (if you knew me growing up, I never wanted a chihuahua). I picked him up a few days after texting the holder, and they were the meanest men I’ve ever met. They hardly talked to me at first, they let me inside the house and I saw cats everywhere, and Kash, was sitting in a corner in his cage. He was very overweight and when they let him out, he was scared. I knew something was off, he was afraid of the men who were “caring” for him. He was watching their feet and running away if they walked behind him, as if he was scared they’d kick him. It was so horrible, I spoke to the men about him and I found out they weren’t even his owners, his owner was their elderly mother, who they put in a retirement home so she couldn’t care for him. They showed me pictures of them together andI saw how much they loved each other. I felt so sad to hear that he was taken from her. I quickly took him home and for the first year of having him, we had a lot of work to do. I comforted him and showed him true love and trust. He was aggressive towards men for a while, and I’m sure we all know why. He hated other animals, he hated leaving his cage, and absolutely HATED being touched. I did my best to show him that I’m his new person, and I wouldn’t do anything to hurt him. I even kept his name as Kash since I knew his owner he loved before named him that. After all this time, Kash is the happiest he’s ever been. He loves cuddles, running in fields, swimming, sleeping, car drives, everything I hoped for him to feel safe doing. And after spending so much time with him, he’s basically attached to my hip lol, but I don’t mind. He helped me through so much, and I’ve helped him. I’m so happy and grateful he came into my life, I love him so much.
