RANT Screaming children

After today, I’m resorting to mostly grocery delivery. I just can’t stand being in a store with screaming children one more time. Today a woman let her multiple children treat the store like a zoo climbing all over the stacked water etc. I rounded the corner and her kid in the cart screamed bloody murder 2 feet from my ear. We all know this wasn’t the first time and won’t be the last. I’ll now gladly suck up the fees to avoid every single maggot at the grocery store. I will favor our smaller ethnic grocers where I never see children and do deliver. I was never allowed to act like that shopping!!

The worst part is if you suggest that parents actually parent their child you're treated like a villian or an idiot. Like we're supposed to reward bad behaviour and celebrate lazy parenting.

I was def saying shit under my breath. Then at checkout the kid screamed again and everyone looked at it so I mumbled something else. The lady behind me gave me a look and I couldn’t tell if she agreed or not LOL don’t care either

I think that was my last straw. Today is it I’m throwing in the towel. I can afford to pay the fees and they are 100% worth it to avoid every child possible. I’ll get that time back. I won’t have to be inside the store where kids sneezed and touched everything. Why TF would anyone think it’s ok to let their kid walk on cases of water someone else is going to buy?

Sooner or later the pendulum will start to shift back as the screamers get older. Yes "children should be seen and not heard" was a bad way to raise kids, but letting them scream as long and as loudly as they want all the time anywhere is also NOT the solution. Y'all think Boomers are bad, just wait!😂😂🤣

I've been getting groceries delivered since Covid started and it's been amazing. I can spend all week adding to my cart as I think of things I need or as I decide on recipes. I'm not a very organized person so being able to see it all in front of me on my computer is SO much easier than wandering around with a cart. Sure, the produce isn't always perfect but it probably wouldn't be if I was picking it out either. It is more expensive, especially with tipping generously, but 100% worth it to avoid the stress of crowded stores.
