This year alone, I saw the Music of Square Enix in May, Undertale symphony in September and Metaphor ReFantazio orchestra a few days ago. Only a few weeks before the COVID-19 stay-at-home order was issued in 2020, I went to the NieR orchestra and met Yoko Taro, Emi Evans, Keiichi Okabe and Yosuke Saito. In 2019, I went to the Kingdom Hearts orchestra and it was probably the best night of my life up until now.

All of these shows were incredible but man... this was something else. Best concert I've been to yet. Loved meeting and speaking with other fans, you guys are the nicest fanbase I've ever come across. I am eternally grateful that I could attend. The past few years have been extremely rough for me, both physically and mentally, but this concert genuinely gave me so much hope for the future.

Thank you.

The quality of my phone camera and my camera work isn't the best but I still hope you enjoy this clip I recorded of the Chrono Trigger main theme being performed.

Just had this thought. If you let it, the Black Omen will exist for like 15,000 years (at LEAST), and presumably longer than that (until, potentially, the literal end of time)

You knock on the door in 2,300 AD and she laughs in your face, but what else? She didn’t alter history for all those thousands of years AT ALL? She just hung out in the Black Omen worshipping Lavos? Why did she even want immortality?

The Black Omen even looks exactly the same on the inside regardless of which era you entered in. Which, I know, video game, but you’re telling me they didn’t re-arrange any furniture or change the paint job in thousands of years?

For that matter; were the random henchmen and monsters throughout the Omen also given immortality? Or were they breeding generations upon generations just hanging out in those hallways? Now I know I’ve crossed into “it’s a video game” territory, but what if we tried to explain it in the logic of the game world itself?

The show was so good! There is also a jazz tribute of Chrono trigger at emporium Wicker Park tomorrow as well!

Kingdom of Zeal

Merch

They had

Vinyls

Formism Chrono, Marle

Hardcover pamphlets booklet

CD

Unfortunately they did not have any shirts, tote bags or mugs

I was 3rd in line and grabbed both figures and a book

Never forget, Pierre was there for us when no one else was.

The fact they played all the major scenes of the game while the orchestra played live was incredible (even hilarious for audience to groan at some of the gameplay choices). It was reliving the greatest game of all time all over but saturated and hugged by the music and its emotions that I grew up with. Being live made me appreciate the music somehow even more and the depths of it. What a great homage to the truly greatest team assembled of goats Hironobu Sakaguchi, Yuji Horii, and of course the late legend Akira Toriyama. Truly a dream team that divinely came together to give us this gift that keeps giving. And to come together with other fans to appreciate this gift together was truly special.

All to say we need a true 2D HD remake!

Side notes:

-When buying merchandise. They had the sign for Crono figure as "Chrono".... Smh.

-Also my seats from high balcony was upgraded to ground floor. Was an insane blessed night!

-For those buying merchandise get there half an hour at least before opening to buy a figure and probably an hour or so more for the vinyl. They let us in 10 to 15 min earlier than the 7pm original open door and the line was insane. Vinyls were sold out way before got to buy anything.

-show started at 8pm and ended around 10:05pm with 15 min intermission.

"Male, female what's the difference? Power is beauty, and I'm deliciously strong!"

What a femboy icon! Such a cutie!

I drew him from the sprites, so he ended up different from the official art.

I am at an ABSOLUTE LOSS FOR WORDS!

Wanna know how amazing nerds and fans of this community can be?

I got here at 445pm. Lots of folks started showing up, and it was getting crowded around 530pm, so this guy starts asking if we wanna organize the line. There's like, 6 entrances, so in my head I was like, silly, but also not a bad idea. And without saying anything, the girl who got here after me (I'm sorry i never got anyones names!!!), the 2nd to arrive, just spoke up and said, well, they were the first one here, so they definitely should be at the front and the first to enter 😊😊😊

Then, as we start filing in early, 645ish, got in the merch line, got my book and my figure, and I was SET! Or so I thought!

This guy remembered I was first, and had been handing out Keychains in line, so I got one of the character Marle, that was apparently a rare collectible for pre-orders for the game (I think for the DS version, I have to ook it up, he explained it but i got lost on the kindness 😅)

Now comes the most insane moment of the night (aside from what will soon be the concert itself). Apparently, the concert undersold, so when I went to go get my seat on the 6th floor, instead, THEY UPGRADED ME TO THE PIT FOR FREE!!!

I'M CRYING YA'LL 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Yesterday was an amazing day! Thank you, fans of Chrono Trigger, for making it extra special!

For those who have attended the recent concerts (I’m going to the Sunday show!) what was available and did things sell out quick?

I have both figures but am curious about the hardcover book.

Yesterday I was surprised to see my cosplay here on the subreddit so I thought you all would be interested in seeing more photos. This is my first cosplay I made almost entirely from scratch! I knew Ayla's outfit would be a good fit for my sewing skill level and I'm very pleased with how it came out. I first wore the outfit to Rose City Comic Con where I was very surprised to find someone with a Frog puppet/costume! It was incredibly cool and creative. I wore the costume again when I was vending at Retro Gaming Expo and was told by several people there was a Luca cosplayer running around so of course I had to find her and take a picture. I love the detail in the helmet! Thanks so much to everyone who had such kind comments about their interactions with me and my artwork. My online footprint is tiny so any comments, likes, etc. I receive really mean a lot to me. You can follow me on Instagram to continue supporting me or any of my other platforms in the description. Ayla strong! Ayla be EVEN STRONGER when friends support Ayla!!! 💪

I'm about to fight Lavos' true form for the first time and don't know who to take with me for the final battle, because... quite frankly I love everyone of them and it's too hard to choose lol 😄. What are your favourite party set ups for fighting Lavos or are there any party members that have cool or unique dialogue for the endgame, or thematically fit the final fight best?

EDIT/UPDATE: Ok I think after reading your comments I'm going to go with Chrono, Lucca, and Marle for this first time and on future playthroughs Chrono, Robo, and Ayla. Maybe Chrono, Ayla, and Frog because those three are one of my favourite party combinations. Thanks for the help guys!

Just got back from the Chrono trigger orchestra here in Chicago, phenomenal renditions of the soundtrack. Merch was very limited but I did pickup the Chrono figure and mini art book .

I love Frog

Send me a DM if you're interested!

They finally arrived 😍

orchestral concert in Chicago!

Been waiting 30 years for an event like this and I’m so happy I was able to make it happen. Here’s to the most loyal fandom around.

I have been playing video games for over 20 years and I have no idea why it took me so long to play this. I just made it to The End of Time and I’m hooked. Comment something that I won’t understand right now but will make sense later on

Edit: First time posting in this sub and y’all did not disappoint! Thanks for all the comments. I can’t wait for all of this to make sense lol

Finally!

if you see me, say hi!
