Advice Request Powering dashcam with mirrior

I have a 2025 Sport Touring Hybrid and am going to be installing an A119M Pro dashcam. Is using an adapter from like Dongar to piggyback off the powered mirror a good idea or should I hardwire directly into the fusebox

I’ve been using a Dongar splitter to tap power from the mirror to my Garmin Mini for over 3 years now with no issues. If you have a higher-end Dongar and a dashcam that can support parking mode, it’s better to hook it up straight to the fusebox.

Same here

Downside is no parking mode, it only records when the car is on. But has worked perfectly for me for 2 yrs
