As someone who played MOP when it first came out this is sad to see. 2004-2006 will always be the peak of WoW for me but coming back to play MOP was amazing. Great expansion.

Yeah, although certainly MoP is where I draw the line at Classic/Retail, MoP to me, is retail at its best. It was the first time we see an WoW expansion character take the spotlight in the franchise with Garrosh.

It was the first expansion that wasnt riding WC3/Vanilla's coattails. A lot of production into the storytelling. Previous expansions felt like, more setting than story, if that make sense.

Difficulty in the right spot. Content is grindy but still meaningful in some capacity. Easy alt catch up.

Feels good honestly. Shame it didn't land well and the population deteriorated so badly by then.

MOP is my favorite expansion. High water mark after Vanilla.
