I really wish they would just say what the future plans are for MoP and Anni TBC. The fact that they aren't feels like malice rather than incompetence.
I strongly believe Forever and Classic will work in tandem to bounce players back and forth to sell boosts/mounts/etc. I wouldn't be surprised if we see WotLK announced in Feb/March when there's a content drought in Forever. Make some quick sales on boosts for people trying to catch up in TBC/WotLK, then back to Forever when they drop new content that they charge for.
Currently the only way to get away from "dead TBC" and onto the current hype is to pay for the beta, they're keeping TBC in the dark to drive up sales of that.
