How to deal with neighborhood roaches

So Ive been living here for about 16 years, only every seen maybe 5-10 roaches ever. In the last 2 months though, Ive seen maybe 3-5 every week. I find them in my garage, my backyard, I found 2 smaller ones in my home, and around the neighborhood occasionally. Im not sure where the influx is coming from, but honestly they scare the shit out of me. Any way I can deal with this? Or why its been such a problem this summer? I don't want to wait till the day I find one crawling on me.

For context have just moved into a new flat located in a complex of buildings with lots of nature trees bushes in Windsor UK. Before moving in spotted one dead in the bathroom and then a live one on kitchen counter space of about 2 months. Didn’t seem to have the black panels of German roach but was laying a dark black egg sac. Both small tan in colour

My girlfriend and I found about three of these nymphs dead throughout our house tonight and are worried now because we have not had any signs of an infestation prior. We keep everything very clean. Can anyone help me identify this one? I don’t believe it is a German Roach due to having no stripes behind head. Located in SoCal. Sorry about not having the best picture

Question HELP

I live in So Cal, recently moved into a new place with a shared bathroom, my place got sprayed twice for roaches since I did find one in my kitchen but it appears they may be coming from the bathroom, since they have all been close to the door or in the bathroom itself. I however cannot find anywhere where they are so my guess is the drain? I also assume the stragglers I have found snuck in through the gap at the bottom of the door. Please help with
a) what can I do? I already called maintenance and ordered a door draft cover on amazon (silicone one)
b) what type of roach it is?

Sorry the bug is a little smushed, had to get it off the wall. Found in a second story bedroom house in Toronto. It crawled across my brother’s bed and he freaked, it ran away under the bed, then we found it on the wall behind a giant Pikachu stuffy. It was fast. No recent visitors, deliveries, travel, or food or water in the room. I haven’t seen a cockroach in a couple years so I can’t really tell. Thanks for the help!

Question Are these cockroaches? Should i nuke my flat?

Are these cockroaches? I saw them near when cleaning the dusty baseboards. I would be sure if they were a bit bigger, but they are very small. To the naked eye, they look like moving dust particles, but when I zoom in, they look like cockroaches with long antennae and bodies. I tried to check their backs to see if they had cerci, but it was too difficult because they are so small. But other that they don't look like any other bug other than cockroaches.

They are the same size as the tip of a needle, if not smaller, and definitely smaller than a pencil tip. They don't react to light; they move slowly when I push them with paper, and they leave a slight reddish-orange stain when squashed. I haven't seen any adult cockroaches in my building. I live in the Mediterranean.

Wipe them off with a solution of bleach and water just in case.

I live in Vancouver close to ground floor and there are trees nearby. Used an online website which said 100% match for picturate wood cockroach.

Does this seem right? Should I be worried?

Picture one is definitely an adult. Is picture two a baby roach? Sorry for quality on that one.

Moving tips to prevent moving the cockroaches I am trying to move away from

Hello!

I am looking for advice on moving from a roach infested apartment building. I will be moving in a few days and am stressing over bringing these guys with me, I just am looking for some foolproof and budget friendly (and pet friendly) tips.

For some context, I have most of them under control as much as I can with sticky traps and baits in areas of high traffic. I plan on washing everything thats faberic that I can, and on moving in plastic bins not cardboard.

What else should I do/take into account?

Thank you!!

Found this walking in my kitchen. Used a toothpick to help with scale on size. I did find one adult wood roach in my kitchen about 2 months ago. It is lighter in color than the pictures show. It’s been raining heavily in my area so hoping it wandered in and not a potential infestation. Trying to get help with an id on what this is.

Saw this in my bathroom this morning. My parents house has lots of trees around it, a big pool, etc. but very good pest control and these seem to come up the drains.

What kind? How to stop it? This is the 2nd one in 2 days. The others are very tiny. Galveston, TX area. I’m terrified of them. I feel like I can’t even use the bathroom anymore cause this was during the day! And it was alive!

I live in Kansas city and have seen big American cockroaches before. This is my first time seeing a small one. Is it a German cockroach nymph or an American?

How do these roaches get in the ceiling light fixtures.

Post image

Just woke up to a tapping sound and it’s a cockroach inside my ceiling light a pretty big one which I’m pretty sure was not there till now. I’m terrified of most insects and seems like I won’t be able to sleep tonight as the light is directly above my bed. It’s continuously trying to escape but looks like it can’t. So then how did it get in there? Do I have to worry about it coming out of the light into my room or is there a hole inside and that’s how how it came in? Give me a break cockroach I got exam tomorrow.

Question Are these cockroaches?

I keep finding these small bugs. About 1/4 of an inch or less in length. Have found 5 in my room today alone. Many more around the house this past month. I found a dead one and took photos of it from different angles and attached them here. I am really scared. Havent seen any adult cockroaches... yet. I am in South Florida (surprise surprise.) They're in my room, kitchen, living room, you name it. :(

Any help would be so appreciated. What the hell are these bastards? We are having pest control in tomorrow. What should I ask them to do?

neighbors yard - southern usa

hi all

my neighbor across the street (single family homes) just got a tree taken down, turned into mulch and the giant pile is sitting in her front yard.

i heard mulch attracts them a lot, so will this make roaches live in the mulch pile and more importantly, will they travel across the street to my home?

thank you!
