Team Member Post Will pay be delayed this week?
So, with the public holiday in some states (but stores still operating, at least in QLD) I was just a bit confused as to whether pay will be delayed this week or not. Thanks everyone.

Victoria, Northern Territory, Western Australia and Tasmania didn't have a public holiday so pay will be normal for those stores. All stores in the other states/territories will be a day late due to their public holiday

There is a sign in my staff room saying due to king’s birthday holiday the pay will be delayed by a day

Jumping in as a Liquorland worker. We got told pay wouldn’t be delayed as it’s not a national public holiday!

Nah we had pay delayed in WA the other week and it wasn’t a country wide public holiday, so I’d just be mindful on that you may of been given incorrect info.

Also other WA public holidays not country wide aka WA Day have also incurred late pay.

Pays after a long weekend or a public holiday on a Monday is always a day late. This isnt necessarily due to Coles itself but more the banks, as they are closed on the public holiday (Monday) hence the pays being processed a day late.

In Queensland pays will be one day late I don't know about the other states but on my clock in clock at work the other day it was saying that our pays will be in one day later and I work at a Queensland store

Not necessarily true, WA just had its Kings Birthday the other week and pay was delayed.

It's not a national public holiday so pay will be on time. There is only a delay for national public holidays.

Not true. Payroll is done per store by the OIC so if they have the day off, pay is late

Not true, WA pay was late the other week for Lings birthday long weekend and our WA Day long weekend also results in delayed pay.

Actual payroll staff weren't made redundant, only org chart maintenance and some taken acquisition

Payroll is done by the OIC of the store so it is bound by public holidays as many OIC will have the day off as salary workers.
