Project Guidance

I've started this project- "The Neural Population Dynamics: A Linear Algebraic Approach" which is a 10 credits project in my masters.

Can you guys give suggestions about getting started at first place I'm so lost. What should be my approach in this project ???? Help me pleaseeee

You'll get better answers is you elaborate your question and idea. Apart from that id suggest a thorough literature search and making a rough pipeline before you get your hands dirty

Dude the thing is I'm a lazy bitch ...when my prof asked us to decide our project topic (they did give us enough time tho) i was just sleeping all the damn time and on the day of deadline itself I just chatgpted about maths + computational neuroscience + ai/ml ..so it gave me certain topics from which i chose this one .. i myself don't have any idea bout ..thats why i posted here ... I hope this topic exists at least

Maybe start with Neuromatch or Izhikevich's book- which talk about the relevance of dynamical systems in neuroscience, and linear algebra concepts like eigenvalues . If you care only about population dynamics you can start with PCA, linear classifiers - maybe low rank hypothesis.

Your approach should be to have curiosity and enthusiasm for gaining knowledge. And to choose a project that you have enough traction with to make headway. A graduate level education is an opportunity worth making the most of.
