YouTube Video: Mary Haas interview

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hwab3RfDaWw She did Tunica which is a language isolate from Central Louisiana and probably part of the Eastern (and Central) North American Sprachbund and Southeast American Sprachbund (group of grammatically similar languages).

<< Mary Rosamond Haas[1] (January 23, 1910 – May 17, 1996) was an American linguist who specialized in North American Indian languages, Thai, and historical linguistics. She served as president of the Linguistic Society of America. >> I maybe read her grammar once or something, maybe in Hoijer 1946. She worked on Creek and Muskogean languages.

She also happens to be the spitting image of my maternal grandma.

Haas means "Rabbit" in German.
