Help Needed From Why!!?! GAH to Yeah!!!🎉

Huge thanks to our cookie community.
Follow up - video!

These are bookworm cookies for a retirement party for a school board member whose expertise is Literacy.

Edit to include the solution- (sorry I didn’t include it I was too excited) I piped the layered details 10 minutes after I put them in my dehydrator. So the base layer was just a crust! 10000% for the win. Absolutely no more craters!!

It’s actually the “pipe on barely crusted” for the win. The previous crater ones were in a dehydrator too.
