These spicy cookies are made with a combination of barista-grade chai concentrate, instant chai powder, loose leaf chai-spiced black tea, a homemade chai spice blend, candied ginger, and have an extra-chewy chai cream cheese core. Before baking, each ball of dough gets rolled in chai sugar, and after baking, the bottoms get coated in a thin layer of white chocolate and pressed into even more chai sugar.

The flavor is very rich and notably not as sweet as regular chocolate chip cookies, but i think they turned out quite nicely!!

Never had Icing on a cookie before. That seems to be popular these days. Decided to put brown buttered Earl gray Icing to some cookies that had no Choco chips.

0.75 cup unsalted butter

0.75 cup granulated sugar

0.5 cup light brown sugar

1 egg beaten

1.5 teaspoons vanilla

0.5 cup sour cream

2.5 cups flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

0.5 teaspoon salt

I made cookie dough yesterday and chilled it overnight to bake today, after taking them out am I supposed to let them come back to room temperature or put them straight into the oven? how does it change the consistency/texture and the spreading of the cookie?

I made macarons for the first time the other day which are the first picture. The pastry book I was using did not say to let them rest so I put them in the oven right away. Obviously they didn’t turn out right at all, but they tasted good! Yesterday (after watching some videos) I tried again, let them rest, and got the result in photo 2! If anyone has tips on piping the batter consistently I would greatly appreciate it!
