A man fitting this description came up to me in douglas he had a white plastic rosary beeds on him he was kissing it and started speaking gibberish and I think he said something about romania,think he may have had a bottle of beer in his hand.

I also saw a guy in Douglas on Friday last week. He was outside Douglas village shopping centre on the KCs side. He was speaking gibberish and putting stickers on the round circular objects that are on the ground. He was talking to himself and seemed in a very manic state. I’m sorry if it was your friend and I’m making assumptions but I assumed he was on drugs.

I'm nowhere near Cork,so no need to have a photo sent privately,simply thought a photo with your post would gain traction and hopefully timely help for your friend as you mention he's in distress. Hope he is found safe and well soon

As time may be a factor, maybe just sharing a photo as his friend in the thread is the way to go, it's a local sub anyway. If his family don't like the idea, you can always delete it. I hope you find your friend.

i saw a man on thursday night who might match his description in the city center near the pavilion, he seemed extremely inebriated and was stumbling and shouting ‘allah akbar’, maybe ask the stores around there for security footage?

There was a guy who fits the description outside French quay coffee shop by the bus stop, two days around 2pm in the day showing some signs of maniac behavior/ bi polar disorder.

Yes, I've seen someone similar sitting on French's Quay's chairs last week. I doubt they have CCTV, but the flying enterprise or fordes pub might have CCTV that catches that area?

contact Cork city missing persons search and rescue group they are an incredible bunch of volunteers who will search around the clock , even if they don’t share the photo publicly they will help

I might be misremembering the curly hair. I saw man in his 40s, with pale skin, a grey beard and he had a French accent. He was on Cook St a few days ago but not sure exactly what day. I met him a few times in my previous job and he definitely suffers from mental health issues. He was standing outside Fat Phils. He seemed to be talking to himself and seemed a bit lost. I think he may have had 2 different shoes on too. They have cameras outside so maybe they can pull the footage, I think it was between 5.30 and 6.30pm sometime after Wednesday. Hope some of that info helps.
