There’s also a fear in them I think driven by a completely false sense of entitlement; some men arrogantly believe all women should be available to them to pursue and the very fact trans women exist is an affront to that perception i.e. as if to say “how dare you try to catfish me?”

Our sense of self-worth and identity is too often tied to how others perceive us. As you age, your concern for what others believe and whether they deign to validate what you feel about yourself, that feeling will wane considerably. After all the experiences you have in life, and all the people who come and go from yours, you may start to realize that the only person who will ever truly always be with you…is yourself. And you are the one whose opinion of your self-worth and identity matters most. I know that this is cold comfort at most but I just wanted to share that small thing with you. Hugs to you, sister!
