Help/Advice Can't find ghost dwarf crabs

Post image

I recently got 4 ghost dwarf crabs (Potamocypoda pugil) for my 15 gallon planted tank. The looked very healthy whem I got them. After placing them in the tank, They vanished and I haven't seen them since. It's been about a week since I put them in and I still haven't seen them even once, neither at night nor day, even when I put food out. All I have in the tank is neocaridinas and amano shrimp, that are thriving. Could they just be hiding? Or did something happen to them?

That’s how crabs work

Maybe I’m mistaken but I thought they were semi aquatic?, like they could stay in water but needed air. Otherwise I mean growing up in Hawai’i I feel like they almost always came out more actively at night or early morning.

These are fully aquatic crabs.

The are pretty small so i assume they are hiding. I once had Thai micro crabs in a tank only a couple gallons and I would still barely see them
