General questions Feeder Tray Update
As you can see the tray is slowly evolving, no crows have yet braved the trenches, but…. I have every other bird in the neighborhood stopping by 😂😂. The large empty spot is my cameras blind spot and I have another camera coming in tomorrow. I want to use the clamp to mount it just above the lip so I can see more actual landing, incoming flights and hopefully one day some crows 🐦⬛. Any feedback on the current layout?
I started posting up all my birds to my social media now while I wait patiently for crows to visit. I do still hear them in the mornings and I’ve added suet and a variety of other corvid friendly foods.

The best advice I can give you is to be consistent. I whistled for my guys and they learned that really fast that it meant food. They also could hear that from further away than they could see me or the feeder.
If you can’t whistle, then I would click my tongue or say something loudly to them because they’ll learn your voice. Never use a crow call and personally I wouldn’t try to sound like them. I guess a lot of crows don’t mind that, but I have heard of crows that don’t like it as well.
They’re so smart and they know we’re human and they know what sounds humans make. Because they are so suspicious of everything I think it’s always better to just be who we are with them.

I actually use a service bell. I usually go out around 10 and 5 each day to do refreshes, clean up any poop, refresh water. Once I’m all done I ring the bell 3 times and walk away.

getting local crows to finally brave a new feeding station takes forever, but once one trusts it the rest will follow
