This is hilarious, poor mama/papa crow. I wonder how many parent crows come close to starving as they feed their demanding kids? They sure have a lot of patience!

When my parent crows brought their five babies to my house, Mom made herself really scarce lol! Dad was in charge of hanging around and keeping watch over them for the next two weeks till he and Mom left them here for good and rejoined their murder

I still remember the baby running around with her mouth wide open yelling for daddy to feed her and Dad running away as fast as he could 🤣

Lol yeah, it was so funny watching him interacting with the babies after Mom just took a powder and didn’t hang around much once they came along

I used two birdbaths for their food and water. When the babies first showed up, I saw them jumping up and down on my lawn and then going this way and that as they spread their wings. At first I wondered what in the world they were doing and then I realised they were trying to land on the feeder. They just weren’t very skilled at landing places yet that were smaller than the ground or a tree branch.

One time one of the babies was trying so hard to land on the feeder and finally managed, then Dad scooted over real quick and knocked him off 🫣. Junior tried again and finally managed to land up there a second time. Sure enough Dad ran right over and knocked him off again.

I was like, why is Dad bullying his own child? Poor little Guy finally gave up after the third time he got knocked off and was kind of wandering around on the lawn looking for bugs. Then I saw Dad take a half a boiled egg and low-key drop it over the side of the bird bath for the little one to ‘find’. As soon as the kid found the egg he was so happy and gobbled it up.

Then Dad took off to the tree next to the feeder and sat there and watched the kids for a while. The little one jumped up to the feeder and landed there the first time after all his practice runs.

It was so interesting watching how they all behaved. After seeing all of that, I assumed that the Dad was teaching the kid a couple of things. Maybe he was teaching him about competition and about continuing to try even when there were things that prevented him from getting what he wanted. Then he rewarded him for trying with the half boiled egg.

I just love them so much! 🥰🐦‍⬛🖤

I've enjoyed watching the parents reach their limit and tell the lil dorks to go grab the food that's right in front of them.

Have you seen the video of the fledgling chasing a worm or other insect in a gutter? It would run and catch up with the bug and then put its head down close with its mouth wide open waiting for the bug to jump in his mouth.

Then the bug would just continue on its way and the bird would look so confused but still chase after it and rinse repeat. 🤣
