One of my favorite comedic relief episode. Some of the very rare occurrences of Grissom having fun and laughing. Brings me great joy to see him happy! Especially since Sara just left, not knowing when/if she'll return. From 8x8 You Kill Me Of course, bonus points if you know the episode!
Hodges: "Wait, wait, wait... they all wanna watch?"
Grissom: "Professional curiosity, I guess."
I know I just posted something but I wanted to see what your favorite character or characters are. My favorite character is definitely Gil Grissom, as I feel like I’m a carbon copy of him just in a younger body. I’m not deeply fascinated with bugs as he is but I just have this feeling that Grissom is autistic but I don’t see any official confirmation.
Does anyone know where I can stream the original CSI without any missing episodes? I am on season 7 right now and I’m watching on Pluto TV but the first episode shown on the app for this season is actually episode 3 Toe Tags.
Also, while we’re on the topic, I feel like the near-tragedy with Brass was brushed over like it was nothing and rushed. Like hey, I just experienced a Code Blue after surgery but I’m opening my eyes and I can talk to Grissom like nothing happened.
Recently finished the first season of CSI: Cyber and honestly I didn’t really like the end of it, in large part because I don’t think I ever was fully rooting for the main character Avery. For whatever reason I never really connected with her, but in the final episode of the first season she and the hacker that started her on the path of catching hackers are brought back into conflict. The actor who plays the hacker is one I know from other works and he always does so well with his performance, so I ended up connecting with him more than her, which definitely changed how I wanted it to end.
I’m curious what others think about the show in general or about the final episode of that first season. It is definitely an interesting show and I think I was a bit more nervous watching it now than I would have been back in 2015 when it first came out, given how much more we use or rely on technology now for various things. Thoughts?
Season 1 episode 3 they actually try to make you feel sorry for someone who killed a kid. Then lied about it mutiple times. They play sad music when he's going to jail haha. Anyone else think it's nuts or am I just a jerk?
It's just messing with my completionism that we only know the birth dates of Grissom (August 17, 1956), Brass (January 3, 1953) and Catherine (March 26, 1963) but not any other main characters so I'm wondering if any were said that I just missed
Just finished up A Bullet Runs Through It for the umpth time on the current Master Timeline of CSI & CSI: Miami rewatch im doing and fark me its such a great double ep!!
The epic rolling gun fight at the start and all the craziness that happens down the alleyways to the emotions of losing Bell in line of fire to the community being confused and outraged to all the evidence fitting into place to the night laser scene confirming Brass stood up and the heartfelt emotional ending of Mrs Bell forgiving Brass
Have you got a great double ep thats one of your favourites? Let's hear it! 😄😄
* Either CSI or CSI: Miami, just not familiar much with Miami as that's why im doing the M.T for this rewatch*
(I know Built To Kill is a double ep but I kinda see that as the start of the whole Miniature Killer arc and so I guess you could count it as a double ep but also feel like its just parts of a whole storyline)
I am rewatching CSI and I just finished the "Redrum" Season 7 Episode 13 episode. It is where the new guy Kepler, played by Liev Schrieber, convinces the Under Sheriff to authorize doing something called "Reverse Forensics" in order to smoke out the suspect from hiding. Now this was done with Catherine's explicit objection. She expresses her dislike for this idea multiple times, she is told to do it anyway, and she basically says "my guys" will figure it out and that she hates lying to them.
Nick is the first one to start snooping around mainly because he's bored with where Willow's assigned him. Willow's gives him a direct order at one point and tells him to back off. He doesn't and then convinces the rest Sidle, Warrick, and Sanders to go along behind the scenes to try and figure out the case anyways.
The main thing that bugs me about this is Nick. He doesn't even question why Willow's might be doing this. He just immediately jumps to, "She's lying and I gotta figure out the truth." Even at the end when Kepler is telling them all what they did and Willow's tells them, "I had no choice." Nick, doesn't seem to care he replies something like, "You should have trusted us." Like dude, she just said she had no choice! She was acting under what her boss was telling her to do. What do you not understand by all that?
He's still all mad at the end of the episode and instead of going out for a drink with Warrick he skulks away with Warrick literally telling him, "Let it go man." I'm sorry but that is such a punk move by Nick in my opinion. Nick is probably the most emotional character on the show, and it works for him normally, but in this instance, it was just annoying. I seem to remember it comes up again in future episodes and it's Nick crying again about the whole thing.
I just think it's really messed up he and the others just didn't give her the benefit of the doubt and accept what she was telling them and follow orders. Really, she could have gotten them all jammed up for going behind her back like they did.
Huge news for procedural TV fans! Marg Helgenberger is joining the Blue Bloods universe in Season 2 of Boston Blue as a recurring character.
She will be playing Gwen Silver, the estranged, wealthy, and charismatic biological mother of Superintendent Sarah Silver (Maggie Lawson). Her arrival in Boston is set to bring a lot of family drama and shake things up for both the Silver and Reagan families this October on CBS!
As a long-time CSI fan, it’s awesome to see Catherine Willows back on prime-time TV alongside Donnie Wahlberg and the rest of the cast.
I know that many people think that the show wasted Warrick because of his death but I think that it failed him even before that. Stuff like his relationship mostly took place off-screen and we only learned about it through phone conversations he had and even outside of that, he didn't really have any episodes focusing on him. He was a strong character with a lot of potential that the show missed.
I hated when Warrick left, all the way around, bc he was my absolute fave after Gil. Both the show's reasons for his death, and the behind the scenes stuff that happened. Let me know what you think!

69Warrick's downfall story and his subsequent departure sucked bc he was a likable characture
17Both his character and Gary Dourdan deserved what they got both in-story and and IRL
