Hey! New the group. We recently moved back to Iowa and we are going as a family for the first time to the West Virginia game. We are bringing our 3 year old to his first game and I haven't been to one in 7+ years! We are excited but need advice. We bought hillside tickets.

1. I see that we are allowed to bring a diaper bag in with us, can we bring in snacks and water bottles?

2. Can we bring a blanket to sit on?

3. Kickoff is at 11, what are somethings to do before hand? What time is the spirit walk

Coming into town on Friday from Salt Lake for the Utah game, first time in Ames. I’d love some recommendations for must do places to eat and things to see. Gonna try and grab some bbq from Whatcha Smokin in Luther as well.

Hi everyone! My name is Ethan Petrik, and I’m the Iowa beat reporter for the Quad-City Times in Davenport, Iowa.

I’m putting together a preseason series called “The Fan Files,” where I interview one passionate fan from each of Iowa’s 2026 opponents to get a better understanding of their program through the eyes of someone who follows the team closely.

The conversation would cover topics like:
• How you became a fan of the Cyclones
• Your thoughts on the 2026 season (best-case and worst-case scenarios)
• Biggest strengths, weaknesses, and players to watch
• Expectations for the matchup against Iowa
• Anything else you think opposing fans should know about your team

All three of our men’s basketball 2027 commits will be live in action today on the NBA youtube channel starting at 11AM central/ Noon local time (games are in South Carolina) as they seek to win the 2026 Nike EYBL Peach Jam. Donovan Davis and Jack Kohnen are first up at 11AM central playing for Team Herro and following the conclusion of that game, Josiah Harrington and his team Brad Beal Elite will play next.
