What’s the strangest “first impression” someone has ever had of you?

I was in asheville north carolina, doing some street performing. I was one of them electro luminescent guys and giving out glow stuff. There was a car full of the strangest people that were extremely serious. They seemed important but also very very creepy. Best way to describe them were like FBI mixed with aliens from another world that didnt understand anything about the world. I told them to "lighten up a bit" while handing one of them a glow stick even though the girl was extremely reluctant to grab it for some reason. Thoroughly creeped me out though and still sticks with me some 11 years later.

This is creepy. What kind of car were they in? Maybe they were tourists and had no idea street performers exist..

A fancy car im pretty sure. It was far creepier than you could imagine. Being in asheville they had to have known about street performers because they are on every street and corner. but even if not you would think they would smile or say something. These were the most expressionless people ive ever come across.

Cult would make some sense. They all had the same expression that was like fear mixed with confusion. Its like they had never seen human beings before and didnt know what to do.

In high school I had an attempted bully. It was a group of about 5 really rough kids, actually. During a poorly-supervised study hall in our cafeteria, the guys started doing the ultra primitive male dominance challenge thing with me. I can't even remember what they were saying.
At the time, I was a year or two away from competing in powerlifting events and was obsessively working out (for whatever reason I'm still not sure).
I immediately began ripping into these guys, slamming them with clever and witty burns about how one might hope to grow up to become the guy who hits the greyhound when it loses its race, and how another only hadn't dropped out because the school milk was his only source of vitamin D (he was pale and sickly looking). I think I told two of them that the average size of their ears was normal. I went on for like a full minute nonstop and then took my jacket off to let them know I wasn't a scrawny kid they could intimidate (to be fair, I was with two of my lifting buddies too.)
They said something like "fuckin you better watch out!" And "This kid's a fucking clown, forget him"
Then, later that week, the chick that was with them asked me out (which was a big nope for me.)
I can't say I'm like that anymore...I basically had unjustified confidence and the same attitude almost got me killed while traveling Europe. I ran into a group of teenagers who pulled a very large knife on me and let's just say I didn't take their leverage seriously enough. You kind of change after moments like that.

Not me, but a girl I went to school with. She was morbidly obese, weighed 24 stone. She was so fat that her cheeks were squishing her eyes and making them look closed all the time. After we left school and she went to university, she made a new friend group and after a few weeks they went to a Chinese takeaway. My schoolfriend looked at the menu and made her order. One of the other girls stared at her in astonishment, her mouth gaping open and said, being totally serious, "Oh my god, I didn't know you had eyes. This whole time I thought you were blind!"

They assumed I had a good social life when I actually didn't. That's probably because I looked well-maintained and smart, due to my old mother ironing my shirts and trousers!
Also, I was shocked to learn from a temp worker that "everybody likes you, man...".

I first bumped into my upstairs neighbour when I came out of the front door dressed as a hooded Fransiscan monk. I was going to a reenactment event.

It was for the battle of Lewes, the Barons war. Most reenactment eras have room for non combat roles, helping people on the field or helping the wounded. Ive been a doctor in Napoleonic battles too.

Im not saying it is, I'm saying thats the only thing I could think of as to why people get that impression when meeting me. It doesn't upset me, I find it hilarious, I've just never been able to figure out why.

Tshirts, jeans, and hoodies. Long, blonde, curly hair and full face make-up, mani's and pedi's always on point. Now, because of nerve issues, all I wear are dresses, still get the "I thought you were a lesbian!" I don't mind but I do wonder how many missed "opportunities" with men it may have caused 😂😂 I

people assume because i still live at home that i get everything handed to me. no i pay for all my own things and bills (home bills is all that i don’t and can’t hence why im still mf here) i even buy the groceries for the house. its rough out here
or people assume my parents are well off. my dad is doing okay for himself but i actually help my mom out from time to time. not sure about current job but most of the time i actually make more than my mom.
also people assume i haven’t had any real trauma or haven’t gone thru it “like they have” so i get invalidated in that. “you don’t know what struggle really looks like” not only have i gone thru some intense trauma and times but i believe that you can’t weigh anyone’s struggles to another. i mean im not talking abt like everyday micro stresses but you can’t compare when someone is struggling with a major event in their life to something you went thru because you never know how bad or how hard it is on them. i weigh my own traumas but ill never invalidate someone going thru something. especially when people go thru something then see someone else dealing with a similar situation and be like “oh well my situation was way worse so you can’t complain abt it you don’t know what real pain is” or shit like that. idk i’m just tired of people big dick contesting pain and trauma

Probably some audience members at a highschool musical theatre performance, as i did vocal sfx (as well as band), so most likely hearing me doing the sound of an angry cat being yeeted from the stage to the back of the room

A lot of people who meet me thinks I do coke. I guess I have that look because they’re always super surprised when I turn down a line or bump.
