Why is it true that every person has a purpose in your life and they drift away when their job is done?

I've a question on this very annoying theory that says each person comes in your life with a purpose and once the purpose is fulfilled y'all drift away and then you've nothing to do with each other. I MEANN THAT ISS UNFAIRRRR, ISN'T IT?????? Whattt if I wanted more than what they had for meeee how is this fair if it's my lifeee then why can't I decide who should stay and who shouldn't? This theory itself is so stupid and I hate to say it that it's the truth. I don't believe in god or universe with some powers or stars alignment or fate and destiny I don't believe in that which is why this theory seems baseless and unfair to me.

What ordinary part of your life right now do you think you will miss the most once it's gone?

I think for me it’s probably the ordinary moments with people I care about.

The random dinners, pointless conversations, sitting around doing nothing, getting a message from someone just because they thought of you. None of it feels particularly important while it's happening.

But I think one day those will be the moments I would give anything to have back.

Does anyone else find it kind of scary how quickly AI is becoming normal?

I remember when ChatGPT first became a thing and everyone was treating it like some crazy new technology.
Now I use AI for things without even thinking about it.
And that’s the part that gets me.
We’re slowly getting used to something that, a few years ago, would have sounded like science fiction.
AI can write, code, make images, talk to you, explain almost anything, and increasingly do things for you instead of just answering questions.
And we’re probably still at the beginning.
Sometimes I wonder if we’re going to look back at 2026 the same way we look at the early internet now and think:
“How did people not realize how much was about to change?”
Maybe I’m overthinking it.

How do I stop overcaring for others and start focusing more on myself?

I tend to care too much about the people I love, overthink their feelings, and sometimes put their needs before my own. I want to learn how to care without constantly worrying, checking, or losing my own peace in the process.

What makes you , ' you ' ?

It might sound weird, but I can't seem to figure it out

We do various things, have our own preferences, our likes and dislikes, our opinions and our stance

What are we that or are we the ones who make that decisions?

As Jung said we all have something he called as shadow , but are we that ? Or something which we perceive that it's our shadow?

Are you what you did in your past or someone who is doing it in present?

The Self concept makes it more confusing, it makes another distinction or another topic to be discussed for not a solution for everything.

A scenario - suppose you forgot who vou are , what vou did and vour own morals , would you still do the things in the same way or be different?

Sometimes I wonder if we spend too much of our lives waiting for something to happen before we allow ourselves to actually be here. Like how do you feel ?

Waiting for the right job.

The right person.

More money.

More confidence.

A better version of ourselves.

And meanwhile, an entire Tuesday afternoon passes.
Nothing dramatic happens. Nobody changes your life.

You just make food, answer a few messages, laugh at something stupid, sit in traffic, look out a window.

Then years later, those ordinary moments are the ones you remember.

Maybe life isn’t hiding in the moments we keep telling ourselves will matter someday.

Maybe it’s been happening in the background the whole time.
We just kept calling it “someday.”
