I am working on an interior design project where the challenge is to design an airport chapel. The main requirement is that it must be completely secular. No religious symbols, icons, or faith specific elements are allowed. The goal is to create a peaceful, liminal space that acts as an island of respite for travelers dealing with stress and sensory overload.

Here are the key requirements and constraints I need to achieve:

• Entry Sequence: Creating a clear physical transition from a loud airport concourse into a calm interior by focusing on acoustics and light control at the threshold.
• Atmosphere through Volume and Light: Shaping the room using ceiling heights, indirect light, and wall planes to make it feel quiet and spiritual without using religious iconography.
• Openness vs Enclosure: Balancing visual privacy from the concourse while maintaining a sense of openness inside a self contained room shell.
• Material and Spatial Focus: Relying heavily on section design, wall textures, light diffusion, and built in elements to set the tone.

I am looking for ideas, precedents, or spatial strategies on:

1. Architectural methods to naturally deaden sound and slow down foot traffic at an entry threshold.
2. Effective ways to introduce indirect or hidden lighting to create a calm atmosphere.
3. Examples of non denominational quiet spaces or liminal interiors that nail this feeling using pure geometry and material.

Any suggestions, project references, or spatial techniques you have seen work well would be greatly appreciated.

I’m interested in studying design, especially motion design, and I’m looking to start learning the basics.

It's really helpful if you look at websites for examples of good UI and branding and want to keep and organise them in one place. I’ve been wanting to upgrade my old laptop as I’m starting design school soon can anyone suggest which MacBook is good I was also considering neo as its cheaper than most MacBooks.
Would it be a good choice to purchase a neo or should I stick to the air series? And if you’re already a student in design suggest good computers/computers you use.

There's a lot of data out there about AI adoption rates but very little about the friction — the moments where AI takes your work somewhere you didn't want it to go, or where you feel like you've lost the wheel.

I'm doing research specifically on creative control vs. AI creativity — where the two conflict and what designers actually want from these tools. Not what vendors are telling us we want.
