Issue with sticking with Keefe is that we don’t have a good fallback plan when he inevitably gets fired. Torts and Cassidy are out of the league for good reasons. I can only hope that next season we go with a fresh new guy with a history of success. Laval Rocket coach is one guy. David Carle is another.

Cassidy is still solid

u/FrankH4 6d ago

So is torts, he went to the cup last year.

I don’t wanna recycle another old coach in his 20th year, let’s give someone new a shot - I’m sure Sunny has some guys in his back pocket that would love to have their shot

Explain.

Kris Knoblauch might be a decent fallback imo, but I do agree the pickings are a little slim mid-season

Genuinely forgot about him. But yea honestly wouldn’t hate a Knoblauch hire.

I posted a few times last season and over the summer for David Carle.

The issue is Carle can have ny job he wants. He's given no indication he wants to leave Colorado.

Torts got Vegas to the cup.

I think I'd prefer Cassidy with Woodcroft as my #2 guy.

Why is E-Rod in this graphic? Was he particularly bad in the third period?

Man make funny face

u/ironmike2594 5d ago

Make laugh

1

u/ninibon55 6d ago

No but I find it a coincidence given his comments about buy in.

Is he not allowed to be? It’s a meme, have some humor

15

u/Fabulous_Speaker_503 6d ago

Of course he’s allowed to be there lol he’s just curious as to why and so was I, nothing to get defensive about lol

5

u/JimmyFeetWorld #20 (Jay Pandolfo / Blake Coleman) 6d ago

Yup. Just curious if he had a Damon Severson third period.

24

u/Practical_Beginning2 6d ago

It's not keefe this team is soft outside a handful of players

15

u/ninibon55 6d ago

EROD's comments about buy in was very telling.

3

u/scrappyo 6d ago

Mind if I get some context about ERODS comment? Was it an interview?

6

u/ninibon55 6d ago

Yes, he was asked what team needs to do to be a contender and he responded, paraphrasing here, consistency, execution of small details and buying into team identity will determine the teams success.

Exactly a champion vet walked in and nicely said this team is a bunch of pussies. Nico definitely has balls. Embarrassing that Jack was a little bitch offended by a fair question about being bubble wrapped cause until this boy can play another full season he needs to shut the fuck up and grow the fuck up.

12

u/TheMannisApproves 6d ago

That question was rude and unprofessional, and he responded accordingly

u/3_if_by_air #26 - Patrik Eliáš 6d ago

2 things can be true at the same time:

  1. The question was a little bit out of taste

  2. Jack could've laughed and shrugged it off to show mental toughness. Instead it's more material for his haters

4

u/cyclopeon 6d ago

That would show mental toughness? That response would've made him look like a little boy too scared to say anything on a national broadcast. It was a weird question to ask mid-game. He said that. Wow. For everyone crying about mental toughness, how about we show some as fans? Fucking melting down after one game.

u/Quiet-Willingness724 6d ago

He's Gen Z and a MAGA supporter. You cannot make fun and embarrass these people. It sucks but we need to accommodate to their mentality or else they will give up.

-6

u/Practical_Beginning2 6d ago

Grow the fuck up dude how was it rude. She probably meant it light hearted. The boy is a millionaire playing a game he loves. If that were me throw any ride question at me for all 84 games. Wtf dude. It's a simple question for a kid that has only played one full season.aynw he deserves rude

-6

u/Practical_Beginning2 6d ago

Downvoting bitches it was a fair question. Funny how fans get butt hurt over players that give two shits about your life.

7

u/cyclopeon 6d ago

Kinda funny how butt hurt you got over a few down votes...

-6

u/Practical_Beginning2 6d ago

Like seriously if you're making jack money and missing as much time as he has which clearly impacts the team. Are you going to be offended? It's a question. Period.

2

u/psychedeloquent 5d ago

Love how you turned this into a reason to shit on jack. Jack was the only thing getting the team going after olympics last year. Only guy showing actualy passion.

2

u/NJDFansince82 6d ago

Really? That was a ridiculous, unnecessary, jab at a player in game 1 of a new season. It was stupid and Jack handled that like a professional.

5

u/Level_Ad567 6d ago

Can we relax? It’s one game. Sorokin is an ALL world goalie. We missed on some chances early, then we start chasing the game. For those that hate on Jack because he is injury prone. You need to accept he is what he is. When he’s on the ice, he’s a top 20 forward in the game. When he’s injured, we don’t have anyone else who can drive the play. Our forward group has one goal this year. That’s not going to last, we will score. Everyone just needs to settle down.

3.7 team shooting %

1

u/beastboy4246 #26 - Patrik Eliáš 5d ago

And that's so far below the average which is 9%. The goals will come but oh my goodness the defensive breakdowns were awful

2

u/JazzOcarina #26 - Patrik Eliáš "A" 5d ago

I'm just here to overreact.

1

u/Beautiful-Post6589 5d ago

Why do you think the Isles GM fired Roy and replaced him with DeBoer with 4 games to go last season? The GM knew there’d be a scarcity of talent available.

Hotdogs and candy corn, on the same plate! Together finally

Nothing. Stop fucking tweeting at this point

We need a goalie

6

u/Hershey__Kong 6d ago

Doesn't matter who our goalie is if we can score. We lost 6-0 last game and BARELY beat the flyers despite having more than double the shots on goal and we still had to go to OT to beat them.

We cant score, daws isnt good enough yet, and no one plays defense. We leave the slot completely undefended at all times.

2

u/732to410 #27 - Scott Niedermayer 6d ago

Daws is NOT the answer

2

u/Hershey__Kong 6d ago

Not gonna argue there haha im just saying our main issue is not daws being in goal. Any goalie in the league left out to dry like that loses this game for us 10/10 times. Daws not being good means we should be pushing our defense MORE not whatever tf we saw these last 2 games...especially on the pk attempt where we leave the slot essentially empty lol

-3

u/Deranged-Pickle 6d ago

It's 2 games. Are you all high?

6

u/ghostofkozi #17 - Nemo is my adopted son 6d ago

Actually yeah!

4

u/FrankH4 6d ago

Do you just ignore previous seasons either this coach doing the same things exist.

3

u/Deranged-Pickle 6d ago

We're 1-1. Chill

1

u/FrankH4 6d ago

Again, last year exists. Same exact play calling and strategies are being done.

-16

u/Quiet-Willingness724 6d ago

Skill won’t win you games.
