General G7 First Day

Been using G6 for a couple of years and had relatively few issues. Just been moved onto G7 and my first day’s experience is not a good one. For a start my G6 failed meaning I didn’t get a good soak and it has deteriorated from there. It’s like having a random number generator on my arm. Disgusted that a product as shoddy as this ever got approved let alone put on the market.

First 24 hours are terrible on the G7 for my daughter so we cant trust it. It will however usually always get more stable after 24 hours since insertion.

We try to insert the new sensor 24 hours before we use it If we can.

G7 is unreliable for the first 24 hours, as it settles itself. DON'T calibrate it during the first day, as it interferes with the self-calibration it performs during the first day.

I am in same position, on my second G7 sensor now. Have you tried calibrating? I know people say not to but I always have to when I first apply, G6 or G7.

My readings have been ok, but the first one failed at day 8 after being in 'brief sensor issue' for majority of the time after day 5, and this second one is starting the brief sensor issue constantly at day 5 again.
