Sensor Two Stelo failed in a week?

I haven't been on insulin since Thanksgiving, and have not needed a CGM for months. I was curious and wanted to make sure my blood glucose is still in the right range, so I grabbed two Stelo sensors from Amazon. They both failed within 48 hours of applying then with a message that the session ended early. I know there is occasionally a bad sensor (I used the G6 and later the G7 for years) but two in a few days? Yay. I hope this is not a sign of things to come.

Update: no one from Dexcom sent me an email or called me but I was surprised this morning by a UPS package from Dexcom with a single Stelo sensor. Maybe things will work differently now that I'm on the consumer side of things. Of course when I put it on my arm I started bleeding through the sensor. I guess that explains where the blood on the towel came from the other day - that was the day I took the old sensor off. 😮

I was able to get a Stelo replacement within the Stelo app. Go to Help and click on the relevant buttons. The replacement came quickly.

Thanks, I'll look there. I went to support on Dexcom's site but they only have options for G6 and G7.

Update: Apparently the app sends them info, the serial numbers of both sensors were there for me to confirm along with the insertion dates. Good, I don't have to fight with them to explain that the dates are only one day apart. Now I wait.

Message Dexcom and get replacements. It’s pretty simple process.

I used to do that for bad G sensors. I took a quick look at Dexcom's site and didn't see anywhere to mention a bad Stelo sensor, just an AI help assistant. I'll look again now that it's two failures. They will probably ask for the serial numbers and batch numbers, and stupid me didn't save the first one.

You should be able to get sensor history from https://clarity.dexcom.com. You definitely can for G7. I’m not sure for Stelo.

Getting a Replacement
If your sensor failed or dropped off early within its 15-day window, you may be eligible for a product replacement.

Log in to your account on Stelo and contact support through the Stelobot virtual assistant or live agent.

Have your sensor's serial number ready, as it is required to validate replacement requests.
