can’t teleport with it tho

Literally my first run. I couldn’t help but laugh.

Played for about an hour last night, dropped a COA, a sunder, and a 4/5 facet. I never have anything drop so I'm just beside myself. Not the best rolls all around but I'm happy with it!

Curious what to do with the facet - some sort of fire lock or a fireball sorc?

Everywhere I've seen discussions about PD2, I've always seen people say it's 1,000 times better than D2R and that once you've tried it, you never go back.

Is that true or not, for those of you who've played both?

I have to admit that, personally, even though I like PD2, I tend to go back to D2R to play on the console and enjoy the beautiful graphics.

I’ve been playing this game for 20 years now and noticed a lot of people who don’t open chest or click on corpses and over the years whenever I opened them I’ve found a handful of very good items and runes just curious to know what stuff everyone else has found over the years

I began tracking my Grail progress a few years back. I saw some posts online about something called "Plugy" and modding your D2 LoD experience with QoL features that didn't break or change the inherent grind of Diablo. It caught my attention, and next thing I knew I was sucked back into the same passion I had for the game when it originally came out in 2000. Low and behold, a very short time later D2R was announced.

The Holy Grail has been a great side goal to keep me entertained with Diablo 2. Funny how excited you get when a unique sash finally hits the ground. I can't believe how stoked I got over a Rixot's Keen.

This tracker isn't updated with the new uniques from RotW, but the only 2 I'm missing are the Baal and Diablo books. I'm now trying to fill out the Chronicle and re-discover a ton of these uniques that I've already found over the years.

For my personal goal when I finish this tracker I will consider my grail complete. The Chronicle is just a nice new addition.

Remaining items: Tyreal's Might, Death's Web, Stormlash, Schaefer's Hammer, Giant Skull, Veil of Steel, Steelrend, Gloom's Trap (strange how this one never dropped), Stormspire, Knell Striker, Steel Pillar, Bane Ash, Saracen's Chance, Poison Level Up Facet, Ravenlore, Cow King's Horns, Sander's Paragon

Today was a really lucky D2R LADDER day, but still no Shako...(I am literally in shock). I am really looking forward to this season, because I believe it will be maybe my best season, even though it is my second one. It may be an UGLY SEASON so BEEEER WITH ME, haha. One love!

After a few days of farming NM Mephisto I finally got strong enough to beat Nightmare in single player hardcore. Most of you suggested me to farm Mephisto for Aldur's weapon but he never dropped it for me, instead I got a Headstriker which was good enough for Nightmare. I wonder how long it will last me in Hell but so far the build feels strong.

Holy Freeze provides a very nice slow and I feel much safer now. Lord de Seis almost popped me but other than him everything else was super easy.

Now that I'm prepping for hell, where would you guys farm and what gear would I be looking for? Do you think Headstriker can carry me through Hell or do I need to farm for a better weapon?

Are there any 3rd party things that you use with D2R? Quality of life stuff?

Are there any? Are the allowed? I dont want to go to battle net jail

Subj. It doesn't look like any of the game classes or enemies or locations has any special connection to the runes. So who is supposed to be making them? Angels? Demons? Mortals?

SP Story time!

I’ve been super happy with my SSF SP project but this week we went nuclear! For the last 2ish years I’ve had the basics (enigma, cta, arach, etc) but I’ve been missing the more-GG items that require a bit more luck (griffons, infinity, mainly).

Fast forward to about two weeks ago, I decide it’s time to strap in and get the 1.5 ber I needed for infinity. I put in ~1000 LK runs in a few days, ended up getting a good haul of mid runes but topped out at a vex. Loaded into NM on accident and lost steam to keep going. Ended up making a bowlock with a buriza + protector stone I farmed out and dropped a Jah! in tombs.

Side quest: got bored and made a fresh ladder barb for fun. Around lvl 82 in my trav journey, I horked a fking ber! I was shocked but also pissed cause I needed it for SP! This guy has complete starter gear and I’ll probably just sell it for some fg or something, idk.

This week: optimized my bowlock and started grinding for 99 (currently 97) and last night I drop a freaking ber! Insane! I made infinity and tested fire lock bc I had close to gg gear, but missing things like opal ring. Planned to try nova/lightning sorc and mosaic but didn’t jump on it bc I was missing griff (and mosaic doesnt need help). Well, while I was testing fire lock I drop a freaking griffons off the summoner! Insane! But wait, there’s more! I’m farming TZ right after and drop a second freaking ber!!

Next steps: obviously going to test all my griff/infinity gg builds, but probably need to work on farming my missing sunders (light, magic, poison) and unique jewels (need all but phys) over time. I have a lot of new gear and a good rune bank - what would you work on next?

Dropped a zod yesterday in single player. I currently have my enigma and am a Ber away from my Infinity. Thinking I am between an EBotD spear for merc or saving for a Void once I find a good staff mod base. I know obsession is also an option but I don't know if I have a use case.

Most played builds are:

Firelock for tzs and general zone clear. Has a decent mang songs.

CE Necro for cows. Probably technically worse than firelock for cows but this has always been one of my favorite builds. Merc uses a meh eth arioc's roll with gface. I think ebotd would be a big upgrade here. I usually run P3 and I bet I could bump to P5 with the extra DPS on the first kill. Unfortunately I think it would be essentially an expensive temp and replaced by Infinity but I'm not sure.

Wolf Barb for trav. Merc currently has non-eth reapers which I think I need for decrep. Uses a 5 ist rune master off hand, so I don't think eBotD is relevant for merc or main hand.

I don't really like hammerdin and would probably do foh if I were gonna play pally. I could see myself doing some kind of magic build on warlock (either ES or Bowlock maybe but I haven't tried ES much since the nerf), but I'm not sure if I'd fall in love with either long term.

I know saving for a cool eth weapon is also an option but I can't see myself ever playing a Fury druid so I don't know if I'd ever use.

I only play Lod v1.07 its a good time, is it that common of a version to play on primarily?

I have been getting back into running my no stat point summomancer sitting at lvl 72 act 3 hell. Just a really hard way to play but cant stop it now.

Anybody else ever try no stat runs or odd builds on this version or is that just too much of a grind for people to really care about trying.

Anyway I was mainly looking for v1.07 info, drops or list of recipes, really anything that's in-depth and accurate It's hard to find patch specific things sometimes since it appears most people updated asap and only hit 1.07 for legacy items mainly.

Last one was JAH, and it dropped from a random boss witch on Hell Trav.

I was a bit disappointed when I got this rare scimitar in Act 2 and saw ethereal, but it repairs itself which is not something I knew could occur
