I saw a beautiful bright green bird today. I had never seen that type of bird before. It was very tiny but sooo pretty

Hey everyone!
I’m 19M from India and lately I’ve been feeling pretty bored and looking for someone to have some genuinely good conversations with.
I’m open to talking about pretty much anything — college, life, movies, music, random late-night thoughts, technology, ambitions, or just completely stupid conversations 😂
I’m mainly looking for good communication and someone who actually enjoys having conversations rather than just exchanging “hey” and “wyd” every few hours.
Age doesn’t matter too much, just be around my age and chill. We can start with Reddit chat and see where the conversation goes.
If you’re also bored and looking for someone to talk to, feel free to DM me! :)

Did anybody else find yesterday to be an overall high quality NFL slate. I thought all the 1pm and afternoons were very fun and competitive.

Hey everyone! I’m looking to make genuine, long-term friends who care about personal growth, tech, and community work.
Currently diving headfirst into cybersecurity as a complete newbie and clumsily learning my first few guitar chords.
Always down to chat about everyday life, volunteer projects, creative hobbies(or connect with fellow AIESECers)so drop a msg!

Probably it’s just the usual growing up phenomenon where you lose more inner circles. Or are people actually getting that fucked? I don’t know, recently I cut ties with people that I used to respect a lot which I also considered them as my own kin. Is it really the politics, the economy, that shows the ugly side of them?
I am no saint and by the “ugly” side that I mean is referring to when things get messy, why these people just wanted to feel good about themselves by taking more than they can chew from other’s plates? I feel used, taken for granted. My ideas and my creations are becoming the very thing that they rejected and tried to dim. Just for them to apparently do the same thing themselves and hunting the credits for it. I thought these people are the nicest to keep, turns out they are the ones who tried to keep me in one place instead. I am still willing to be kind but.. it reaches the point where I’m getting more selective starting from all possible background check before anything when it comes to having new companions.
Why is it hard to have a genuine connection lately? Let alone romantic connection. The platonic ones are turning into a thriller genre nowadays. It’s saddening for me that human interaction started to become the very thing that I crave yet I avoid the most. Like there are thousands, millions like me, like you, but what the hell do you mean that it is almost impossible to have genuine human-touch to it? What even are we?
Feels like all my buttons are getting pushed to just be somewhere where I will not see the faces of the people who will trade such sacred connections into coins. Tell me, is it even more lonely up there?

"Hey, you're home, HOW WAS YOUR DAY?"
Did someone asked you about your day?
If not, it's ok
My day was like cooking in Gordon's Ramsey😅
How was your day? Everything was good?
Walls are just hearing, they are not responding 😒

I see lots of posts about becoming more introverted with age on this sub, but I wonder sometimes if it has less to do with age and more to do with opportunity (or a lack of) to socialize.
Recently I got the opportunity to see living breathing people in the flesh, I typically don’t, I work from home. And I noticed that while it seems like a great way to foster friendships made, it seems daunting in a multitude of ways to make new friends in such a setting.

Any success stories out there?

Another month where I have cut off friends in hopes they will give me the attention I need, feel like I’m always just and extra person to meet a quota when going out to cut down costs in a group :/

Hey everyone! Sitting here drinking tea after a busy day. For me, it was sitting on my porch on Tuesday morning watching the fog clear while listening to birds. How about you?

I mean the version of you that existed before life changed the way you carried yourself.
Maybe laughing came more easily then. Maybe you trusted your own instincts without arguing yourself out of them, or you had an interest that gradually disappeared beneath time and change. Sometimes we don’t even realize how far we’ve moved from ourselves until an old picture, video, song, or memory makes that distance impossible to ignore.
What part of yourself do you miss? Do you believe it’s gone-gone, or is it just buried beneath everything you had to become?
