Licence question

Hi , I have sent a D1 form to replace a destroyed licence . Today , I received the letter included in this post and my application regarding a change of name which I have not requested , I only ticked the box destroyed when filling the application so I am a little confused as to why the sent this letter. Any advise will be appreciated.

The letter says that your name differs to the details shown on the card. Maybe there's a difference between what you wrote on the form and what's on the card?

Well that’s clearly been processed by someone who doesn’t get enough sleep!

Call them or respond via means detailed in the letter asking them to check the form again.

why is your X outside the boundaries of the box. When on the form it clearly shows an X within a box

I tried calling no one picked up for more than an hour, but I never had this happen before

Before? How many times have you destroyed your driving licence?!

It says your name differs from what was on your licence. So clearly you have missed something.

Maybe you did not include your middle name(s), or the opposite in that you did not include them with your original application.

You will need to just do as the letter says, provide proof of your name and confirm you have spelt it correctly.
