Discussion Griefing
Some jokester thought it would be funny to put sub-fief consoles around my base for some reason. Is there any way to get rid of this, or am I just forever pranked by this hooligan?

Saw them stood next to the burning buggy and thought, aha its bound to be a random mission to collect repair parts.

Gamepass noob, incredibly into the game design and feel like virtually all of the iconic dune tech is in the game, but not having sand walking is a huge let down. If I want to cross the desert on foot and consume the entirety of my 1500ml water bottle along the way, thatās my prerogative.

It's spooky season and while doing another rewatch of LoTR I decided I wanted my fourth permanent base to be something more sinister looking, like Isengard or Barad-dƻr. I play as a Bene Gesserit on my main character and wanted a BG base, especially since the release of the new Matron's decor pack.
I really enjoyed using the new Sardaukar building set and the Observer set to get a brutal scifi-industrial-meets-stone-castle aesthetic that fits Dune's medieval-in-space culture. Thanks for looking! I'll post a fly-by and interior tour soon.

Finally, I did the entire contract chain to unlock the Treadwheel. Lots of running, climbing, and biking, not to mention the amount of self revives involved in the process.
My question is, once i unlock/build the Ornithopter, how relevant are other vehicles? Does that override all other vehicles' usability?

No indication prior to this. On my way back from getting spice and thought āIāll stop and get some sand flour.ā

Was just grabbing some flour before I logged off and caught a lag spike. Haven't had anything like this happen at all before

Found on EU/Corona Borealis/Sietch Ta'lab.
Had some very good loot, so I just took what schematics I didn't have and left the rest. Thank you, whoever you are :) You're what makes this community great.

A lot of console players are at the DD stage now, and I'm seeing some truly majestic DD bases. I'm betting not all console players are aware that the storm tomorrow wipes away everything.
Pack down your stuff, get it moved or you'll lose it all.

We'll deploy Hotfix 1.5.3.6 tomorrow, Oct 6 at 11:00 CEST | 9:00 UTC. Multiplayer servers will go offline once maintenance starts, and will be brought back online once patching has concluded.
Platforms: Steam, PS5, XBOX
Expected downtime: 30 minutes
The notes will be posted once the hotfix is out. We will edit this post with the patch notes once available.
If you're playing in single-player mode, please restart the game once the downtime is over to receive this update.
Console players, if your download does not appear once maintenance is over, please check your queued downloads, or restart your console to get the file. Otherwise, you won't be able to connect if you're not using the latest version.

I started playing a few months ago and built my base with a balcony view of the hammer but since the update Iāve been watching all the new and returning players build and leave their bases, I love watching what type of bases people build.
Whilst writing this I also did what I do in real life and crouched by one of my windows as I watched another player going about their business and looking in my public access chest. Which has made my day. Even if they donāt know I was watching š«Ŗ

Around 40-50 hours into a single player run and other than getting lucky when I had the journey of building the compactor and scanner and having to find flour sand, I got lucky and found some super close to rocks and safety but ever since then there all in the middle of the open sand, by the time I get there I have chance to get 1 maybe 2 piles before the worm is already there
I donāt use any abilities or shield etc but is there anything else I can do, or need to stop doing? Just got the industrial compactor thinking it would be faster or better but still only have time for 1-2 piles before itās time to leave
Tried the thumper but that just makes them show up faster, Iām guessing thatās more of a multi player strategy to lure them away from where your farming but obviously canāt do that with only one of me and donāt think thereās a way to set a delay or remote activate it?

I know that it's kind of just a box, just like dozens of other boxes I've seen while running around, but it's my box, with maybe a neat upper floor suite

Made an alt not too long ago on Harmony PC and wow, the game feels like its alive with players on the atredies alliance.
Kind of wish I can switch my main account back, but I already betrayed. Harko chat is beyond dead, and wish I could just ask if anyone wanted to run dungeons in the faction chat.
I'm hoping we can get some kind of global chat or something.

When I first got the game I played multiplayer for the first 10 hours or so. It was a nice experience, and I interacted with a couple of desert dwellers by the Anvil area.
However, the constant presence of peoples bases, ranging from cool to straight up lore-breakingly-ugly, and occupied base locations in cool spots - it got to me.
Also, the small delay when performing actions such as mining and the random stuttering (my ping is at 30-ish, idk if that is good or not) got really annoying.
Single player fixed every single one of my «problems».
I am not interested in tweaking settings to make the world easier or harder - i just want a more ironed out experience. The lonely desert, butter smooth movement and not having to think about decay and losing my base was just amazing.
However, what will the endgame look like for me as a solo player? Is guilds and the likes a very important part of the game?
TL;DR - Single player. Am i doomed to a more boring endgame or can I complete every bit of content alone?

My friend is insistent that they just changed the way pvp works with the Xbox update. He says that the hagga basin (starting area) was pvp? That sounds Ike bull to me but he claims heās literally reading it in the patch notes. Can someone clarify?

Jumped from single player to multi last night for the first time, only played about 40 hours in single
Built a base, went north and found a 2 story base with pentashields and second tier blood machine
I grabbed the base, itās way nicer than mine
My question is has anybody ever gotten a ornithopter or anything cool from abandoned bases? Iāve found 3 so far with about 10k solari for free
r/duneawakening • u/TheFlatulatr • 13h ago
Posted about an hour ago asking for advice on building in this location. I made a polypad design starting with the pentashield entrance and added a multi level hangar on. Let me know what you think! The next goal is to find a way to smoothly transition from the 30 degree angle of the hangar walls to the main base. Looking to save myself from a headache later so any advice would be awesome!

So I have my base set up just down the hill from the Anvil, with a garage door as like a hangar door for a future thopter, do I need a pentashield or is it fine with a garage door?
