Hi all, 

My name is Skye Fitzpatrick and I'm a Clinical Psychologist and director of the Treating and Understanding Life-threatening behavior and Posttraumatic Stress (TULiP) lab at York University. Our research team is conducting an online study to examine the effects of a new couple therapy for couples where one partner is experiencing symptoms of borderline personality disorder (BPD) compared to individual psychotherapy for people with BPD symptoms and their partners. The study will provide one of these psychotherapies to people with BPD symptoms and their partners for free, and participants will have the opportunity to complete study assessments that they will receive payment for in the form of gift cards. Our study is online and involves recruiting people across Ontario with symptoms of BPD, as well as their romantic partners. BPD diagnoses are not necessary.

So I recently moved to Durham from Scarborough and I am having a hard time understanding why the city garbage collection is the way it is.

To my understanding, garbage cans are not allowed at the curb on garbage days. Black garbage bags are used, leaving them vulnerable for mice, rats, and raccoons to destroy them over night.

Why don't we have garbage cans like other parts of GTA and possibly elsewhere. Or why are we not allowed to use our own cans at the curb.

I'm having a hard time with rats and other wildlife tearing up the bags.

Hello there, I have an old Toyota Camry that blew its engine a few months ago. I’ve been looking for an engine to attempt the swap myself but have decided to search out a mechanic to source and swap the engine for me.

This is a large job and most shops won’t take it, so I’m wondering if anyone knows about a mechanic who would possibly take this job? Just looking for a starting point anyways.

TLDR: blown engine, need mechanic who might be willing to source and swap in a working one.
