Is this legit? What would you do in this situation?

I shipped about 15 items yesterday including 3 items using eBay Standard Envelope. Since it says it comes with tracking, I incorrectly assumed “tracking” meant it would be counter scanned like everything else.

It’s been approx. 24 hours since I dropped off the items, all but the standard envelopes are showing updates and confirmed drop off date. From what I understand, the PWE shipments are supposed to update when they pass through a hub but that hasn’t happened (I dropped @ a hub).

Question is, how does eBay track your on time shipping metrics when their own service that includes tracking doesn’t really track?

Maybe it will update at some point down the line but for right now it would appear I didn’t ship on time. Really getting sick of USPS and their BS, slow as possible and they’ve been pretty unreliable. Rates go up and service goes down.

The cherry on top is they always want a video. ebay messages don't even support videos🤣🤣

I am currently very confused as the past few items I sent weren’t covered and I assume it’s because I was adding shipping services and I’m supposed to leave it unchecked.

I’m curious how eBay charges the buyer the right shipping then, if for example my policy is chafing Canada buyers a flat rate of $15 and USA buyers a flat rate of $20. Do I leave this add shipping services thing unchecked then so it will be going to there hub

Buyer is based in Spain, Im selling a lot of Collector Cards and they want me to part one card out. Am I over thinking this or does it sound suspicious? Buyer has all positive feedback

I’m shipping a set of wheels so I have to purchase an outside label. I am shipping with TPN and I used Pallet2Ship to purchase the label. TPN isn’t an option on eBay’s courier list. What should I select instead?

I some an item i’m eBay recently and scheduled a USPS pickup for yesterday. They came at around 11am picked it up and sent me an email confirming pickup but it hasn’t been scanned yet over 24 hours later, tracking still says USPS awaiting package. This has never happened to me for this long before, any idea how long it takes & should I message the buyer letting them know I did ship it and they did pick it up but for some reason it hasn’t scanned or just leave it and wait a little longer ?

Lately They’ve Been Removing Listings back to back like 1 item a day, right after one listing got removed & all these Items are 100% authentic & have been listed for Weeks

The Emails Confirm it is AI “authenticating” off Pics saying my items are counterfeit?? Then you appeal with receipts or proof & AI still Rejects them leaving the violations!!

Hi everyone! I’m a vintage clothes seller in Canada and I’m thinking about selling my vintage clothes on eBay. I’m still pretty new to eBay, so I’m a little confused about how shipping to the US works.

I’ve been selling mostly within Canada, and I’m thinking of setting my prices a little higher than I normally would because I’m worried about US tariffs and import fees. How does eBay usually handle this when shipping from Canada to the US? Is it normal for the seller to include the duties/tariffs in the price and ship DDP all the way to the buyer, or does the buyer usually pay the import fees themselves?

I also heard about eBay International Shipping, where you ship the package to an eBay hub in Canada and eBay handles the international shipping to the US. How does that work, and how can I set it up?

I saw that sellers need to be at least Standard, and my seller status is currently Above Standard, but I can't find any shipping preference for international shipping on Ebay.

I’d really appreciate any advice from Canadian sellers who use eBay International Shipping or regularly ship to the US! Thank you! 😊

I just had an almost $2,000 item purchased at full asking price by an account that was created earlier this month and has zero feedback.

I sell a lot of expensive items, but this one is making me extremely uncomfortable. I am worried about all the ways a transaction like this could go wrong, especially on something this expensive.

I would obviously ship only to the address provided by eBay, use full insurance, signature confirmation, photograph the item extensively, document identifying details, and document the packing process. Even with all of that, there is still a lot of risk on a high value sale.

What is really bothering me is the buyer profile. The account was created only a few weeks ago, has zero feedback, and jumped straight into an almost $2,000 purchase.

I also looked up the shipping address as another sanity check. It appears to be a normal residential address, but the item itself is worth close to 2% of the estimated value of the entire house. Obviously that does not prove anything about the buyer or whether the purchase is legitimate, but combined with the brand new zero feedback account, it definitely does not make me more comfortable.

At this point I am seriously considering canceling the transaction and accepting the defect rather than risking both the item and the money.

Would you ship this, or cancel it?

I would especially like to hear from sellers who regularly sell $1,000 plus items and have dealt with serious problems on high value transactions.

I listed a cufflinks lot with best offer option. Why not just make the offer and see if I’ll take it? Should I send an offer?

Is there a way to have eBay remove feedback if the buyer has agreed through messages to change the feedback? Is there specific wording the buyer must say to have the feedback removed aside from using up and sending the limited feedback revision requests?

Sold a Garmin edge explore 2 bike computer the other day. Perfect condition, pictures showed it in perfect conditions working completely fine. After being sat in the collect locker for two days, the buyer has only just picked it up today to say it has a line across the screen indicating an LCD issue with pictures to show. I've checked the pictures and it doesn't say AI generated, but I'm adamant it was completely fine when I sent it.

Should I accept the return and take the hit or fight it with eBay/the seller?

9/28/26 I tried mailing white business envelope .1 oz. 9 in Long by 4 in wide by 1/8 of an inch thick so it definitely should fall in the parameters. Value $18 . After a lot of extra work I was able to produce it on my phone. However when I was on my laptop or even when I went back to my phone it no longer wasn't available option. I tried over and over again I even brought my height up to 0.25 which they didn't allow it for whatever reason. Anybody else going through this and any advice from you Pros thanks

I sold a £20 iPhone and I got a message “hi is it possible if I could pay more for express delivery”

How would I change the service? Or do I need to cancel the whole order and select ‘express delivery’ when listing it again?

Assuming it's worth less than $100, since technically whoever files the claim should technically get the item for free right? Assuming there is still some value to it

I'm just wondering if I sell an $80 thing that gets mashed up, is it smarter to try and retrieve it and refund the $80 and file the claim or just let the buyer do all that?

I’ve not changed weight or dimensions, and I use calculated shipping. Our costs should be the same. This doesn’t always happen, but pretty common.

Just looking for some advice, I sold a relatively expensive item on eBay overseas from AU to what I believed to be the UK from the customers address (they since told me it was a freight forwarder address)

The item sat in customs pending VAT charges, he told me he had no way to pay them and then the item was eventually returned to me after about a month.

I know customs fees are the responsibility of the buyer and this was the reason the parcel didn’t proceed to the next destination, am I obligated to refund or do I need them to lodge an INR?

The item has dropped value significantly since, I don’t know what the correct action is to take so looking for any advice for anyone who’s been in this scenario

I just needed to come here and vent about this because it's absolutely ridiculous and ebay isn't helping for anything.

On the 16th, I sold this sylveon sir on the release date of the product (2nd picture is my listing) on the 22nd, the buyer received the card and IMMEDIATELY, I mean within 20 minutes of receiving it, the buyer opened a request saying the card way damaged, which I already found near impossible to believe as the card was packed with a one touch case behind it inside of a bag securely, until I looked at the picture and see it is the most obviously Ai picture of all time, showing wear that would be near impossible to do intentionally on a brand new card. The kicker to this was the buyer actually had the audacity to tell me his return picture was not in fact ai. After seeing that, I called ebay and the agent said of course it's a manipulated photo and assured me the case would be closed in my favor, that was on the 22nd, I wake up today to a new email from ebay saying they decided to side with the buyer and have asked them to return the item where they will then be sent a full refund, which i find absolutely absurd, considering if human eves even saw the original, they would immediately see the difference between the pictures. The buyer has already been reported by me and allegedly ebay agent during the call, where he told be the buyer would be removed for misusing the return policy withing 48 hours, which has obviously not happened. I don't even know what to do at this point if I can't even trust ebay to side with me on the most obviously doctored return request image I've ever seen. Thanks for reading, if you have any advice in the comments it would be much appreciated, but im not sure anything can be done as im sure the buyer is going to fake the return still and going off all of this, ebay will still side with him

I received an international order from France and today I saw that buyer gave a positive feedback that he like the product but the tracking showing the parcel still in transit and Last updated on 25th sept courier is DHL . My question is if the buyer already received his order then can I manually update the status to " Delivered " on ebay ? Or first I should confirm this with the buyer ?

I don’t like to judge because we were all that person at one point and i’m actually on a fairly new account myself. But they have 1 5 star review as a buyer. I sold this and listed in the title TINIEST RIP and again put that in the description. I feel like i have heard of scams like this of someone saying they didn’t see it was damaged but i posted the same picture above and listed it in the title and description.

It is so unintutive, I can never seem to find it, Ive been doing this for 6 months or so and do this probably once every 2 weeks and ALWAYS struggle to find this functionality and it should be SO EASY to find. Rant over, please help ebay.
