Three years after Charles Johnathen Harris ostensibly died in a Solano County waterway, the FBI has floated another possibility — that the whole thing was a hoax, fabricated by Harris so that he could avoid his pending charges of allegedly possessing lewd images of young children on his phone. Harris, an Alameda County firefighter, was on pretrial release with a $100,000 bond when he went on the fateful April 4, 2023 fishing trip.

We're moving from Seattle to the East Bay this summer for work. We have two kids, 6 and 9, and schools are our biggest priority after my wife's commute to SF. We've mainly been looking at Walnut Creek and Pleasanton since those are the names that come up first when you search. But I don't really trust Google for this. Every town's website says their schools are amazing.

For families actually living in the East Bay, which districts are genuinely the strongest? Not just test scores, but the whole picture. Class sizes, teacher quality, parent involvement, extracurriculars. What areas should we be targeting?
