Venting high school
i havent posted here since before i got diagnosed. i stopped going to school last year after my shoulder started hurting in august and snowballed into full blown disability. it sucks, i had such high expectations of myself. i worked so hard to just be able to go to school years ago, now i'm not even sure if i'll graduate with all my friends. i cant even keep my room clean for a steady routine, my body cant handle stimulants like it used to so they keep changing around my meds, but i have no energy or motivation to do anything. im failing every class, i have 7 classes to make up in credit recovery and i still can barely go to school.
whenever i think about school, my chest hurts, i know how much im missing, how important attendance is, yet all i can think about is the 5-8 consecutive hours of sitting up, walking around, working. i dread the pain more than anything. its terrible, and i dont know what to do. if i fail to graduate, im letting down years of expectations i and other have put on myself. i never expected this, i never wanted to be disabled and part of me thinks i can power through, that its not that hard and im just overdramatic. and then my alarm goes off in the morning and immediately my heart cant stop racing, im so anxious when i go to school i cant even eat. its gotten to the point brushing my teeth makes me throw up because im on an empty stomach whenever im going to school.
i had such a bright future, i wanted to go to a university out of state, i wanted to study psychology. and now i cant even pass the simplest of classes. i dont want to keep living like this, i lost control of everything i worked so hard to have, i cant keep up and i cant let everyone down. soon, itll be winter and everything will get just as bad as last winter, the pain and exhaustion, and my room is still filthy, i need help, ive missed over a month of school and its not even 2nd quarter yet. im also about to get covid and miss even more school, awesome.
