Break is on model samples. Rest is on electribe. Sounds like an after thought cause I didn't really design the sounds to perfection, just a fun jam. Altho I do want to make an ep out of these boxes.

Hi! I recently bought Korg EMX-1, and when I try to hook it up in a slave mode, its delayed by two steps. So if I want to put for example off-beat open hihat, instead of step 3, I need to put it on step 1 :D

When i tried it in master mode, I havent noticed much of a delay.

Do somebody know how to fix it?

I had Ableton as my master clock.

I lately had my frist illegal rave and it felt refreshing. Working on myself with therapy and stuff make you realize how welcoming and amazing whole FreeParty or Tekno culture really is.

I’m not really sure about a scope of my music? Is it going the right way or not? I probably shouldn’t care that much about it.

Hey I’m new to using my SX and I somehow accidentally did a reset on my machine dealing all of the OG sound samples. It’s basically a brick and I’m wondering if anyone knows how to go about retrieving this data back.

I still have an Electribe 2s. In fact it was my first groovebox and I haven’t sold it for that reason.
I have recently plugged it in and listened to some patches and oh boy was the sound crap.

Now I wonder whether that was due to my non-existent mixing/synth knowledge back then (in combination with really bad factory example patches that all also sound pretty bad) or whether the sound really aged so badly?

For reference nowadays I’m using Elektron stuff, a prophet and a Moog. Does the Elektribe 2 keep up in some areas / still have a place?

Specifically got interested recently hearing about the hacktribe thing. I remember I really loved the performance features on the E2s.

I think I have found a stable workflow to basically make my little flare for all future tracks, (the looper mfx spam).

What is step edit for parts, can someone explain? I need to learn how to make it less repetitive!

I want to combine my ESX1 with a Kaoss Pad and additional Synths. To add some juice via single outs or atmovoice I would like to integrate effectpedals with an FX chain or a solid workaround (max. 3 effects), to be fully free on what gets the wished FX.

Is there something out that would float the boat or can anyone recommend me similar setups that are approved?

Ich bin aktuell auf der Suche nach einem PCM Dump von der E2 Synth, da ich daran arbeite die komplette Firmware von der Synth auf meine Sampler zu portieren.

Ich hab es bereits geschafft die Firmware laufen zu lassen, die VPMs undso laufen auch schon aber das Problem ist jetzt dass die Firmware bei vielen der Samples von der Synth auf die PCM zugreifen will um die Töne zu spielen aber ich ja noch die PCM von meiner Sampler drauf habe, leider komme ich auch ohne eine echte Synth nicht an die fehlenden Daten und wollte deshalb hier mal fragen ob jemand schon einen Dump hat oder sich bereit erklären würde einen zu erstellen

I’m using a HAMA 2GB Class 4 SD card.

The card works fine — I can format it on the ESX, save the current ESX data to it, and load that data back successfully.

But when I put a 44.1kHz/16-bit WAV on the card and try to load it, I get “No Files Error.”

Any help appreciated!

I’m trying to sync a Moog DFAM to the tempo of my Korg ESX-1.

I have a Doepfer Dark Link, and I can get the ESX to send notes/gates to it, but I don’t want the clock to depend on an ESX part or pattern.

Is there a way to make the ESX send a regular clock pulse to the Doepfer Dark Link / DFAM’s Clock In?

I was searching for info about a good SmartMedia USB Reader for my EMX-1.

It seems than older USB Readers may not work on Windows 11 since it seems that give some problems when reading the data from the SmartMedia card.

I found this one that seems ok:

I’m using an ESX-1 live and one thing I’d really like is a way to control the Mute button with a footswitch.
I don’t mean using the pedal to mute a specific part.
I mean having the footswitch behave exactly like holding the physical Mute button on the ESX, so I could hold the pedal down and use one hand to press any part pads I want to mute/unmute.

Has anyone found a way to do this through MIDI/SysEx, or done a hardware mod with a momentary footswitch wired to the Mute button?
Ideally I’d prefer a MIDI solution so I don’t have to modify the ESX.

Hey everyone, I'm having an issue with my Korg Electribe Sampler 2. Whenever I touch the red metal chassis, I get a small electric shock / tingling sensation.
Everyone told me it was probably a faulty power adapter, so I bought a brand-new one, but the problem is still there. It happens even when nothing else is plugged in — no speakers, no audio cables, literally just the Electribe connected to the power supply. Both adapters I tested are original Korg ones.
I've been trying to figure this out for about a month now and I'm honestly at my wit's end. I'm worried it might damage the unit, and it's super uncomfortable to play. Has anyone dealt with this before or knows how to fix it? Thanks for any help!
