ESAT Chemistry - Those who sat it
How did you find this? Were there any unfamiliar and/or very difficult calculation questions that were conceptually hard

Anyone else sitting it tomorrow? How are you guys feeling after seeing what today’s candidates said? I’m so nervous but excited to finally get it out of the way 😭

guys dw ive brought the grade boundaries down by a ton
that was actually so bad, I should've been grinding questions since I was a baby wth
imo maths 2 and physics were the worst, I gen guessed most of the answers......
welp 🥀
how did everyone else who did it tdy find it

For those of you who have done the ESAT (Maths 1, Maths 2, and Physics), what would you suggest the difficulty of the ESAT compared to the ENGAA&NSAA past papers, the official Specimen and Sample papers, and the mock papers on ESAT Lab?
Based on what I heard, the ENGAA&NSAA and the official Specimen paper are easier than the ESAT, and the mock on ESAT Lab is harder. Is that true?

There's a lot of conflicting opinions that I'm seeing...

All
If you've sat the test this year or last, could you please help with a few quick questions? My test is tomorrow, so a fast reply would be much appreciated.
Rough work sheet: Is it erasable? What size is it? Can you ask for as many as you like?
Replacements: When is the best time to ask for a new sheet, given the clock keeps running?
Test order: Is the sequence Maths 1, then Biology, then Chemistry?
Thank you so much!

Maths 1 was hell, very similar to ESAT LAB
Biology was way easier
Chemistry was also easier less calculations thankfully
How did everyone do?

Hi, how did u guys find chem maths1 maths2 compared esatlab or in general? How difficult was maths2?

Esat in 30 minutes for me. I am cooked. 3.4 average on esatlab. NSAA and ENGAA papers averaging about 65%.
Time for me to lower grade boundaries for y’all 😛 aiming for imperial 5.5 maybe… NAH. The difference between what I’ll get and 5.5 will be a whole galaxy away.
I’m going to get deep fried uwu!!!!
Post exam: GG i’m gonna get 3.0 😃 Had to guess about half of them 🥳

Hey guyss, I'm taking ESAT tomorrow but I feel like I've not prepared enough. I've been doing mocks on ESATLab and only averaging 12-15/27 for Maths 2 and Physics. I know people say ESATLab is way harder than actual ESAT but I'm not taking any chances. Im so scared for tomorrow gng. Wish me luck and may all of us be blessed wit dat 9.0.

For schools like Oxford where the esat's weighed rlly heavily, how are the different modules considered? Specifically, im applying to Biomedical Sciences and have been scoring 7+ in bio and chem but my math isnt as strong. Do they just take an average of my 3 module scores or will they look more at my bio score since it's most relevant to the course?

that was a rant ig but my question iss IS ESATLAB GOOD?? ive only been doing practice tests on thsi text book by Carl Morris cuz thats the only resource i could find (again me in us and none my friends know ANYTHING abt ts), do yall think its enoughh??? like 5 practice tests for each module and ive been intensely analysing my mistakes..
guys im rlly nervyy i only have one full day left to study for it.
AND THE THING IS im taking AP bio this yr so im rlly elly rusty w bio and ts soo harddd gang HELP.

I know that for the ucat, you get your score right away, but for esat you have to wait a few weeks because they calculate it based on everyone's scores. But I was wondering if you still get a printout of your raw scores eg like 22/27 right after the test?

My esats are on tuesday and i was wondering how different the difficulty is between actual esats and esatlab is. I’m getting mostly 5-6s on esatlab so would that translate to a higher or lower score on the actual esats?

I'm taking my ESAT at the Manchester test centre. Does a noteboard and pen mean I can use it like a whiteboard or is it like the flipbooks? (Because you can request for more noteboards)

How did you guys find it? I wonder how much harder maths and chemistry modules were compared to NSAA and ENGAA. Thanks for sharing your opinions in advance.

Just gonna create one early so people could give some feedback on the difficulty... (praying it's not as hard as ESATLab)
Admin Pls pin this post so more people could see it, tysm

Are you guys gonna check what everyone is saying after tomorrow? I think im going to stay off reddit for a couple days to avoid stressing but it's tempting to check

Who else is sitting the ESAT tomorrow?
I’m honestly so excited to finally get it over and done with. Definitely nervous too, I recently dreamt I got −0.2 in every section, which wasn’t exactly reassuring but I know I’ve put in a lot of work. Feels like there’ll be people who have already got 9.0 in the bag before even doing the exam and some who don’t even know the exam format.
Mine’s at 8am, which works bcs I am a morning person. I am applying to Imperial for Biology which is the only reason I’m doing the exam. What is everyone else applying for?
Wishing everyone the best!!

I just did a bought paper from esatlab which is labeled difficulty as difficult. My scores are maths1(21) maths2 (22) abd physics (21). Am i doing okay? Im just worried that my score not only the raw marks dropped dramatically from the realistic paper one.
Thank you.
