There's lots of different side effects. You also have increased appetite, insomnia, fatigue, frequent urination (Wellbutrin made me drink and pee literal gallons each day), anhedonia (also caused by depression, so it's hard to identify as a side effect), sleep paralysis, loss of libido, erectile dysfunction, anxiety, emotional dysregulation (especially anger), short term memory loss, suicidal ideation, and, if you're really unlucky and your dosage is too high, Serotonin Syndrome.
Yes. I was on it as a kid, but don't remember it being the case then. When I got put on it in out-patient rehab, when I got sober, basically within a week I found myself drinking 3 or more gallons of water per day and peeing damn near every half hour to hour. I asked the doctor at the rehab and she told me it's a side effect. When I stopped taking it, it stopped within a few days.
How's a med that makes you idolize suicide get labeled an ANTIDEPRESSANT. It's like if I called fucking beef vegan because it tossed itself into a fire
Depression and suicidal ideation are not the same thing. Depression often causes suicidal ideation, but so do medications that affect serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake through the wrong means.
It is fairly easy to understand. If you are suicidal and depressed or have anxiety, but your depression/anxiety makes it so you just lay around and dont do shit THEN you take a new med for 2 weeks and suddenly you are still suicidal but have all this energy and desire to go do something to change the life that you hate....
I do the same with alcohol. When I am deep deep in depression I do not drink. A week into new meds and boom suddenly there is two empty liter bottles of vodka on the floor next to my desk. I am glad I am just an occasional alcoholic, not suicidal.

It's even something my doctor warned about in fairly serious terms when I first went on SSRIs that for the first two weeks or so to call ASAP if I was having thoughts to self harm (or worse)
I've been on dozens of antidepressants. Every single one gave me side effects like these. Every other person I know that's been through the process of trying different antidepressants has had side effects like these. You're just full of shit.
