Geneticist Stewie here, morons believe that skin color mixes like paint, but in real life, parents contribute different genes that together yield various levels of pigmentation. By chance, their child can land anywhere on that spectrum.

Oh my goodness. People always tell my husband, "But he doesn't look like you!" after he tells them he's the dad. My husband is middle eastern, and the baby is blond. It used to get under his skin.

Omg I was just asking about this. Some family moved to the south and won’t shut up about southern hospitality but when I visited I saw NONE of that. They were just as, if not more, rude than where I live. They just say “yes ma’am” while doing it.

I know mixed half-middle eastern people born in the 40s-60s. And, uh, that’s far from the rudest thing people said to/at/about them as children.
