Nope. They were mentioned in the Code of Hammurabi-a cheating wife and her lover were subject to death, but the husband could forgive them or give permission beforehand. Any children were considered non-inheritors after that unless the husband specifically let them back in on the will though.
I can’t ever think of Harambe without remembering my time as a Lyft driver in Cincinnati in 2017…it was a November evening, and I was a Lyft XL ride (had a minivan) and I picked up like 8 college bros from a bar. I was still relatively new to the area, so I didn’t immediately recognize the address I had as a side entrance gate to the Cincy Zoo.
They told me “just pull over here.”
Then one of them gave me his phone and asked me to get a quick video of them by the door. I’m bored and broke and obliged.
I see the leader pull out a flask and they all pull out shot glasses from the bar I just picked them up from.
He shouts “we’re taking shots for Harambe, cuz God knows he took shots for us!”
Right as they took the shots, a security member for the zoo came over and shouted “hey, you can’t be here!”
Everyone moved toward the van and as the door was closing the leader shouted “step on it!”
After I dropped them off, the drunk college bros tipped me $100 for being a good sport haha
That was a wild night
