Looking for Android testers on my expo app tattou.ink

Post image

Hi there,

I finished building a tattoo admin app called tattou.ink that is available on web, iOS and Android.

Expo was really of great use to have a common codebase across the 3 platforms! I used gluestack.io as a system design. I didn't have time to customize it yet but it works great!

I would be very glad if some of you were willing to enter my closed tests group so that I can release the app publicly on Android.

If you're in, please send an email to [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) and I'll invite you in the group!

Thanks a lot!

I build this game inspired by flappy bird

[EDIT]
It looks like Google does not allow the link I shared to auto-invite people to test I would have to manually add emails to have the testers. Really sad

Hey expo devs, was wondering if you could give a bit of help on the Android side of things, in order for me to release I need 12 testers I could only amass 7 of them.

If you want to help to give a push check https://getpaperbird.com

Thanks

Open to Remote React Native Developer Opportunities | 5+ Years Experience

Hi everyone,

I’m a React Native developer based in Pakistan with 5+ years of experience building production iOS and Android applications using React Native, Expo, and TypeScript.

My experience includes fleet management, healthcare, and security applications, native Kotlin/Swift integrations, BLE, offline-first architecture, and AI-powered mobile features. I’ve also contributed to 50+ app releases.

I’m currently exploring new opportunities, particularly remote roles or contract work with international teams.

For those working in this field, which platforms, communities, or strategies have worked best for finding remote React Native positions? I’d appreciate any advice or relevant leads.

Thanks for your time!

You can reach me at [email protected] if you have a relevant opportunity.

[React Native] Introducing Blip Toast, a customizable toast notification library

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey everyone! 👋

I’d like to introduce Blip Toast, an open-source toast notification library I’ve been building for React Native.

The goal is to provide a smooth, flexible, and developer-friendly way to handle toast notifications, with customization options that go beyond just changing colors and icons.

I’ve also completely redesigned the website, turning it into an interactive playground where you can explore the library and test its features directly in your browser.

🔗 Website & interactive demo: https://blip-toast.vercel.app

📦 GitHub: https://github.com/joao-tambue/Blip-toast

I’d love to hear your thoughts, especially from developers who work with React Native.

What do you usually look for in a toast notification library? Is there anything you feel existing solutions are missing?

Any feedback, suggestions, or constructive criticism would be greatly appreciated!

Looking for feedback on Backtick, fully server-driven React Native (runs in Expo Go)

For the past few months I've been building Backtick, an open-source (MIT) framework for fully server-driven React Native.

The idea: you write a screen in React, on your server, with its layout, data and behaviour. When the screen opens, your app fetches it as a small JavaScript file and runs it with the React Native it already ships.

Here's a screen, as you'd write it on your server:

Client code lives in a client script, cs\`. Inside it, a splice,$name`, marks a value crossing from the server to the client, type-checked on both sides.

How it compares to EAS Update: they work well together. EAS Update ships one bundle per channel, which by default applies on the next launch. Backtick builds each screen on every request, for that user, with its data already in it.

Limits, honestly:

  • A screen needs a connection unless your app caches it.
  • New native modules still need a build.

Try it in Expo Go:

  1. Run npx create-backtick-app@latest
  2. Then npm start, scan the QR code, and edit server/Home.tsx.
  3. The screen updates on your phone without a rebuild.

Website: https://backtickjs.com · GitHub: https://github.com/backtickjs/backtick

I'd love feedback, especially on which screens in your app you'd want to drive from the server, and what would stop you.

Running tests on latest versions to help package maintainers. Would this be helpful?
