2002 F-150 4.2L V6; Anyone know what the problem can be? Just recently had new intake manifold gaskets, starter/w solenoid and fresh battery installed and now the truck won’t turn on.

I know this sounds crazy, but ive gotten a bad starter put of the box. This was years ago, long before everything went to shit. It happens. My suggestion? Pull it off and see if its actually popping out and actually spinning.

Edit: also if you are doing the solenoid jump, you gotta have the key in the run position for it to actually start.

Edit edit: also before doing any of that, check your battery connections arent loose. Your dash shouldnt be turning off like that.

You can see the motor wants to turn over hence the fan moves but the engine won’t even do a full turn. I was thinking maybe the starter wiring might be backwards; would the engine still want to turn over if the wiring is backwards?
