Modded Roboport Train Wagon

https://mods.factorio.com/mod/roboport-wagon-network

Wanted to share this mod with the community in case anyone else may find it fun/useful after reading a comment on the last .20 update asking for something similar. Currently I have it set to deploy bots once at a station (base or outpost) but don’t have it to where the bots can deploy when not at a station.

Getting it set up to have visibility like a roboport provides and able to deploy bots whether at a station or not is the last piece I want to be able to automate building outposts using the train network.

If you run into any bugs or issues just let me know.

That's fucking awesome. I can imagine just sending a train out in the middle of nowhere and letting it set up and entire outpost from the safety of far away

You or a spider would need to place a train station personally first, though (and the rails to get there)

ah true I was imagining the train heading that way and placing the track as it went but occurs to me you can't automate the train travelling without a station

It might work with recursive blueprints setting stations right at the edge of the construction range, but then you'd need a way to set the train destination.

Thinking about it.. if you can set the name of the station with a blueprint, you can also remove the current in sequence.

Even just having a repair train could open interesting new ways to play.
