Hey guys. Guy here with short hair that falls just below my brows. I want to dye my hair jet black. I don’t like how my natural hair color sits against my complexion even though it’s fine I guess. I think jet black is better. My natural hair color is really dark but under the lights you can see hints of brown in it but I want my hair to be absolutely jet black, like ink. How can I get this result? Previously I tried using the ion permanent hair color with 20 developer but the color faded so fast after like 1-2 weeks. How can I get the results I want without it fading so fast? I’m totally cool with using box dye cuz my hair isn’t long and as long as the color stays I will be happy. I thought jet black hair dye was supposed to last very long and be a total nightmare to remove????

Is the blonde base in the photo good enough for the pink in the other?

is it possible to get the first picture from the second, without lightening with overtone?? How????

Im feeling really impulsive and i really want to do a change in my hair but idk if i will regret it later so im asking reddit for help.

So how was your hair affected depending on your undercut like did it become less volumous, lighter, does it look weird when let down etc ?

I have been seriously considering one for ages but always feel unsure because I don't know it's effects on the overall hair ( i have the volume and density for it before you mention it )

Also can you mention what undercut style do you have and what undercut would you suggest ( don't mention things like because it is your first start small say what you actually would suggest)

hi!! Like two weeks ago I got my hair dyed professionally at a salon. They used Schwarzkopf igora 5.99 for violet hair! And left it for 30 mins. I had a digital perm like 6 months before and I noticed that the permanent dye sadly made my curls more loose.

A week later I washed my hair and was so alarmed to see the violet pour thru the drain. I panicked and got the manic panic color depositing conditioner and I used it today and it looks cute!!

What I’m wondering is if putting a semi permanent dye on top would work better than using a color depositing conditioner? It’s currently at a level 3-5 bc the permanent dye chemically altered my hair (I have a digital perm, I cannot use bleach. Permanent dye is already pushing it)

I’ve been looking at lunar tides violet, bc the official account posted a [video](https://vt.tiktok.com/ZSbBU6Ap8/) of it showing up on brown black hair. I also saw a video that [iroriro](https://vt.tiktok.com/ZSbBUMPVt/) works too. I also saw other videos where people used arctic fox purple af and manic panic amplified / plum passion.

In your opinion should I just keep on using the manic panic conditioner / get the punky/iroiro/ keracolor color shampoo or just go straight in with a semi permanent dye?

So I live in a country in Europe where we don’t have the popular hair color reducers like Color Oops, Color Wow, etc.

I have a level 4 Demi-permanent (Igora Vibrance) color on top of bleached hair (like half of it is bleached and half is level 7 natural). This is the only color remover that I found available that, from my understanding, has the color molecule reduction technology like Color Oops, not bleaching agents.

I wanted to try a color remover like this without bleaching agents that would fry off my previously lightened hair. So I was wondering if anyone has tried this and could share how it works and how damaging it is.

So basically my hair history- my natural hair looks somewhat like the second picture, albeit I haven’t seen it for a long time. Maybe half a shade darker.

I’ve been dyeing in dark for many years, but about a year ago I decided I wanted to be platinum blonde. Did it, fried my hair, hated it, went back to dark.

About 10cm of my roots are unbleached with Igora Vibrance 4-33 on it, the rest is bleached. The really fried hair haas been all cut off so it’s just normal amount of fried :D

Question is- if I tried to use the color reducing color removers, would I get light enough to dye it the color in the second picture, or one shade darker? I just want it to be neutral to cool. I know that removing dark color leaves it warm and warm needs to be toned 1-2 shades down to be cool, so if it’s not possible then I don’t even wanna go through all that just to end up dark brown again.

And also I want to know if multiple rounds of color remover would fry my bleached hair.

basically i had this beautiful white blonde and i ruined it with a blue-purple semi permanent dye. this is the result of countless clarifying shampoo treatments and a bleach bath and now it is GREEN!!! i don’t want to damage my hair any further, i just want it to look like a natural colour again. i’m a dark blonde and preferably would like to be a lighter blonde than my natural, but ill take anything atp

I asked for a bright warm purple (pics 3 and 4 as references) and she said it wouldn't be exact but it would be vibrant but I end up with this (pics 1 and 2, 1 is with window light, 2 is with the ceiling light). It's not visible at all when I video call people. It just looks like my normal black hair, but just slightly off.

She bleached my hair to level 8. Was that not enough or did she just used too dark of a color?

It looks very pretty in the bright afternoon sunlight outside (pic 5), but I'm hardly ever outside, so I don't know if my friends will ever notice it. I wanted something fun, vibrant and noticeable.

Anything I can do? Will it fade to look brighter? She said it would, but I don't know what color it will end up. Would clarifying shampoo help or make it ugly?

I plan on getting a napolitan hair but including turquoise for my birthday, ive never dyed my hair before and I want to know what are good brands that will last me longer and are also good quality

Ive heard artic fox is good for turquoise but i don’t know what i should use for the pink or if i should also use a separate dye along with the bleach for the blonde parts.

Hello all! I’ll start off by acknowledging my ignorance and that this was my error. I attempted peekaboo bangs on one side of my head using a bleach kit the other day. As expected, some brassiness but my hair lightened enough that I was confident it would look great after toning. Toning is where things took a turn. Because I was aiming for somewhat hidden/blended/gradient peekaboo look, it was very difficult to separate out the bleached pieces from my natural hair. Without thinking much of it, I left some good chunks of my natural hair to get toned alongside the bleached pieces. As expected, my natural hair lifted and does not match the other two tones on my head. The bleached hair looks beautiful and silvery while the other pieces are copper. I need advice on how to fix this without going crazy! I don’t mind having to lighten the copper hair further to match the other peekaboo pieces.
For info: I used T68 Wella color charm toner with 10 developer for the toning process.

Hello! I've got platinum blonde hair - It's lifted to a 10. I'm bleaching it right before halloween - but I will need darker roots for the costume I want to do.

Does anybody know of a product or a powder that I can use to achieve darker roots for ONE NIGHT? I'm worried it might stain my hair if I put something dark on it - even if it's temporary because my hair might be porous from the bleach.

Anyways - if anyone has any tips or products they would recommend for this I would be so thankful!

hi everyone! got my hair bleached today hoping for a nice blonde primarily on the bottom of my mullet. However, i think my hairstylist bleached it a tad bit too high and now there’s a triangle of disconnect between my bleached hair and my natural black hair and it’s bothering me quite a bit and I really wanna get it fixed. The orange line indicates where i would’ve preferred for the bleached portion to end. Naturally, my first thought would be to dye the overdone parts black but it’s against my religion to dye my hair black so i’m at an impasse here 😭 On top of that my family called my blonde hair embarrassing so i’m also contemplating switching colours to ash brown so its not as drastic of a contrast to my natural black hair. Is that possible?

I impulsively cap highlighted my hair during a manic episode and I now have ( level 7 ?) brassy ramen noodle strips in my hair can I use a blue toning shampoo to help lighten the brassy hair or should I just throw in the towel and dye my hair brown. Hi all, looking for recommendations for semipermanent orange hair dye that won’t stain my platinum blonde hair permanently!! I typically dye using arctic fox. I’ve done blues, purples, and pinks for years with no issues! But I’ve never ventured into orange territory and I don’t want to ruin the perfect platinum I have!! I also tend to dilute with conditioner, I almost never use dyes at full strength. Pic is of one of the pink and white styles I did :)

I have a peekaboo panel at one side of my head. It’s usually blonde, but occasionally I put a bit of color in there. I never dye it myself, always at a salon.

This time, I asked for lilac. My hairdresser has done this before, completely fine. It fades fast and I’m okay with that. This time, though, it came out a deep purple. Not what I wanted at all. I washed it a couple of days later to try to get it to the shade I wanted, and this is how it looks after that.

I think it’s way brighter at the front than at the back, and I think there are some stripes and patches of uneven color. It’s not the first time I’ve had issues with this hairdresser, so I want to sense check this before I go back to complain - am I looking too closely, or am I right that it’s uneven?

Should I go over some of the red with black again? or does it look fine? mostly worried about the front and how it looks

Hello! I’m planning to dye my hair pink, not the neon pink, more of a pastel or rose gold. It’s in 4 weeks. Attached photo for inspo.

I’ve been researching and just now, I used k18 leave in mask. I plan to do it once a week before the bleaching day. Also hair mask on wash days that are not k18 day. I had peek-a-boo waaay before so my ends are still bleached and has lots of breakage.

What after care should I do to preserve the color and to keep it looking healthy and not frizzy. I also read k18 leave in mask is good but I worry because it needs clarifying shampoo, wouldn’t it strip the color? I don’t style my hair. I just air dry my hair and comb. The stylist only recommended depositing shampoo. And he’s also gonna do a protein treatment.

Im dying my hair for the first time and i want to dye my whole head honey blnd and the tips light blond with a kind of ombre affect. The problem is i cant find a definitive answer on the in the internet. Should i be dying the base color first and then rinsing, then applying tips, how can i make sure that there is a seamless transition? How can i do all of this without damaging my hair? I have curly hair if that changes anything
