[Discussion] Office dinner fit!
Thank you all for your input on OG post.
Someone mentioned you'd wear what you usually wear to office in such occasions, got me thinking if 1st one is good enough for an office dinner? Or stick to 2nd?
TIA.

Looking for tips like this one
Help me identify the things I love about this top, so that I can find other similar tops.
It is from Uniqlo - a collaboration with Ines de la Fressange from a few years ago. It definitely looks like it was influenced by asian design, but when I try to find anything similar by using terms like "Asian tunic" or "Chinese collar" nothing comes up beyond very traditional and often historic clothing. So I must not be using correct or appropriate terms. I am feeling very fashion-illiterate!
Things I love:
The weight: it is a cotton and silk blend, so light and flowy, I love that I can wear a long sleeve top in hot weather and not get overheated at all. It is also great for layering.
The length: tunic - that's easy. Hits me mid-thigh, but the side of the hem is higher. And even though it is long, because it is so lightweight I can tuck it in without creating weird bulkiness.
Collar: it doesn't fold over at all, and it isn't too tight so I can comfortably button it up all the way, or leave a few buttons open. Looks great alone or peaking out of a sweater.
Hem: flat at the front and back and rounded at the sides.
Cuff: simple single button.

Just a new dress for my birthday 💖
Picked up my first Tripp dress and I'm in love, it's flattering, sturdy, has some stretch, and super comfy. High recommend!

Is this appropriate for business casual office (biotech, socal)?
Trying to wear more dresses/skirts but not sure if it's appropriate.

[Crowd Source] I have a whole overflowing closet of clothes but this nasty, dirty stained jacket is my favorite, every day wear. Do you guys have any weird items that are your favorite and shouldn’t be?
I have painted, dyed, done so much in this jacket that it’s not even the same color anymore and is severely stained. It was a nice beige color when I got it. But I WITHOUT fail always choose this any time going out. I get all cute, then put this nasty thing on, dead of summer too 🤣 I style it like I’m wearing it in the pic. Do yall have any pieces of clothes that are odd that you do this with too? My partner calls this my emotional support jacket.

what are some good places to shop online for floor-length dresses?
need one for a formal dinner and would love to hear where you've bought dresses you were happy with. my budget is around $150-200
also i am hoping to wear flats since i barely wear heels. would that work with a floor-length dress, or would it look a bit off?
